Steam Sale - Winter 2014 - Your purchases ?

Yup, this sums up 99% of my Steam purchases. I lie to myself that "someday" I will get around to playing this game and hence i MUST have it right now !

Decided to go for Metal Gear Rising Revengeance and Saints Row 4. I was hoping Lords of the Fallen would be in the encore sale, but alas.

Won't they have another day of encore sales? That would make sense I think.

My final tally: $0, everything was paid for from card money, or using Playfire credit on GMG.
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance
Bioshock Infinite
Bioshock Infinite Season Pass
Wolfenstein: TNO
Batman Cold Heart DLC
Brothers: AToTS

Won on Steamgifts:
L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition
Shadow Warrior
Papers, Please
Shadowrun Returns
Possibly more? "whistling:

I haven't been spending much lately on games. Been avoiding bundles and I was too busy playing Dragon Age Origins to even care about the previous sale. I hope we keep on getting free games with trading cards :D I'm not complaining.

I might pick up some good el cheapo games, there's quite a few nice ones. Also been meaning to get RotT but I probably won't play it before the next sale.

I think it IS already the encore sale. The countdown timer on the games I viewed stated another 47 odd hours on sale, and that was judt after 20:00... So I think this encore sale will be on for 2 days and that's it.

But usually the normal deals (excluding community choice and flash sales) last for 48 hours. I still think there's a good chance they'll do a round 2 of encore sales.

I highly doubt it. I think what we have now is what will finish it up.

My final damage:

The LEGO Movie Videogame (from GMG)
Shadowrun Dragonfall
FSX Steam Edition
Saint's Row IV

Not too bad :)

I was hoping that Rocksmith 2014 would be a bit cheaper during the Encore sale, but my luck is out. Guess I can wait until the next sale.

I'm seriously considering buying Transistor while it's still on sale. I loved Bastion, rate it as one of the best games I've played in years...

Then you'll love Transistor... it is stunning! Apart from the obvious looks and soundtrack, the voice acting and gameplay mechanics are stellar. I've actually bought the soundtrack too.

I wanted to get it, but remembered too late. When I went to check I had the sudden realization that the sale is over. I always have this empty feeling after a Steam sale is done.

...and that's not only because both my Steam wallet and credit card were overstretched.

YES!!!! The sale is over... no more temptation.

Well till the next Humble sale, that is if it doesn't have the games I already bought during the sale knowing my luck.

I usually fight temptation to buy indie games during a Steam sale. I always buy them on a Humble Bundle. I hope Transistor is part of a bundle soon!

I made one final purchase: Euro Truck Simulator 2. What an awesome game! So relaxing, and love that you can listen to radio stations from around Europe while playing, just struggling to add my own streaming stations but there are some decent ones alreay at least.

I know it's a bit late, but was on holiday and forgot mygaming login details.
I didn't buy a single game on sale- not a one. :( I don't know if it was just me, but there wasn't anything that blew me away. Maybe I've been spoilt with greenmangaming's additional discounts, or the humble bundles, or maybe I just had everything already, but there didn't seems to be anything that hasn't come up fifty times already in the last 2 months.
