Steam Summer Sale 2014 - What You Gonna Buy!

That makes sense. Do you perhaps have a link to the reddit thread?

Not the exact link but it was under /r/Steam/

When I have time, I'll go hunt it down.

I included the link to the thread AlphaJohn mentioned in my previous post ;) There's definitely some type of rigging going on though. I find it difficult to believe that these massive point leads are because of reddit collusion.

The lead can just be the pack following the pattern, example I kept all my cards for the moment Green was ahead and then I let it rip like crazy. <- that was before I even saw the thread on /r/Steam.

I almost bought titan quest immortal throne, but then realised i would never play it.
saving up my steam wallet for something special :)

For people like you its normally a good idea to buy all your games as gifts. That way you can still add it to your inventry when you want to play it or you can alway give it to someone on a birthday or whatever as well.

I actually meant that i would not play it again as i've completed both the standard game and expansion a couple of times a few years ago.
But i still need to get something for steamgifts :)

Hey pink team, it looks like we are going to win today. To make sure you get the free cards and a chance to win games from your wishlist remember to contribute at least one point to the team. :)

Done. Here's hoping to win the jackpot, I've got my wishlist ready.

AW flippin hell man.

Last night I bought New Vegas stand alone for 4.99 literally like 12 hours ago.

Now I see the flash sale is on for the complete edition for $6.

First rule of Steam sales: Don't buy ANYTHING that's not a daily deal, flash sale or community choice. It's always been this way, you really should have known better :p

Ya, I should have. This is my second summer sale ever so should have read those tips. oh well its not like Im actually going to play the dlc anyway:D

Thus far I have been VERY good! Have not bought anything yet. Although I am trying to convince myself i need:

- Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
- Payday 2
- Batman Arkham Origins
- Saints Row 4
- The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
- Space Engineers (this one is not cheap enough yet :) )

Super lucky, just managed to get both Battleblocks and Castle Crashers for $2.5, by buying the Can't Stop Laughing Bundle. I'm assuming there was a price error because it was 90% off.

First impulse buy of the sale. Two games for less than the price of one. If I had bought Battleblocks yesterday, I would be pissed.

EDIT: Guess it isn't a price error.

You call that very good, so far I only picked up Monaco. I can not promise it will stay this way after the 25th.

2 Games I have to buy this "summer" Flash sale or not:
Company of Heroes 2, Men of War Assault suad 2.

this damned sale! DAMNED EVIL!!
Just saw Insurgency going for -55% ($6.74) Heard great things about it, so yeah.

Also, not going for ARMA III, even though its -50%. Having second thoughts, own ARMA II, but havent played alot of it. So will rather give ARMA II a go.

And one of these days, I'm going to slip and get Dark Souls 1.... its been teasing me for a long time now... :D

Sad panda... transistor didn't win the vote. Thanks for all those who voted :)

I still haven't bought anything yet (not sure if that's good or bad)

I've been really interested in Insurgency for a while now however i don't know what community is like.. anyone know what the local servers are like, if there are any?

I'm battling here man. I've bought nothing so far. Almost got skyrim yesterday, but I have such a backlog I thought I wouldn't be doing myself any favours getting a game that averages 180 hours game play or something. Almost got contagion as well for the split screen, that looks like a lot of fun.
I'm just looking for a few tom clancy titles, and if ninja turtles and lara croft GOTL comes on 75% off I'll get it, once again for split screen.
Wouldn't mind a starwars title or two either.
Steam sales suck when you get to the point where you have almost everything you want.

-I've also noticed that some games are coming up multiple times- hitman absolution for example. I wish they would just put them up once and be done with it. It just takes up precious real estate. It also sucks that they aren't putting up other games in the same franchise like they did last time, where all the hitman titles go on 75% off along with absolution, but I think that caused chaos with their system, and people were getting some really good deals- like games for 50c that should cost $5
