It's a long shot, but I'm dreaming of earning a fancy Dota 2 item when I craft my badge :P

how do you guys get cards? I got one when I purchased something on the last sale, but that's hardly enough to get a game out of it.

You get one for every 3 votes on Community's Choice,
1 every time you craft any game badge (more if you craft one from Foil cards)
and every $10 spent gives you one as well.

All you need to know is over here

Which cards are we talking here?

Game cards which you get while playing certain games. The list keeps getting longer.

Sale cards which you get for voting and for every $10 you spend during the sale.

per transaction

Way better than SimCity, oh and I got mine for $1 in the October Humble Bundle.

Just note, it doesn't do multicore and can bring any system to its knees, even my i7 3Ghz have issues as the game progress.

From one of the negative reviews:

The game has a major downside though - it's outdated 2005 graphics engine is a 32 bit engine not optimized for multi-core. No matter how good your PC is, the game is limited to only using 1 core and up to 3 gigs of ram. This means large cities on even the toughest PCs will lag like all hell, while your PC shows virtually no sign of wear, often running far below 20% of max capacity.

Just picked up Borderlands 2 GOTY for myself and a buddy of mine. Keen for the co-op.

Anyone play Trine 2? Keen on getting that as well.

Good platform puzzle game with stunning visuals. I loved it and think its well worth the $1.99 sale price.

Again, picked it up on a Humble Bundle (Frozenbyte)
