Been a good holiday for me. I went away earlier in the year so this Christmas was all family & gaming catchup time.

Best part of all - created no backlog cause I started (and completed)them immediately after buying & downloading :D My purchases were:

Shadow Warrior
Shadowrun Returns
FC3 Blood Dragon
XCOM Enemy Within

So my damage for the Steam Xmas specials are quite severe:

Bioshock
Bioshock Infinite
Bulletstorm
Dirt 3
The Elder Scrolls Skyrim
Grand Theft Auto Complete pack
Hard Reset
Hotline Miami
Left 4 Dead 2 (but that was free)
Max Payne 3
Monaco
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum
Spec Ops: The Line
Spelunky
The Stanley Parable
System Shock 2
Titan Quest Gold Edition
Tomb Raider
XCOM Enemy Unknown

Don't know the dollar value, but well over $150 as far as my credit card statement is concerned.

alrighty then. my damage is as follows:

Terraria
Sang-Froid
Wargame : EE
Borderlands 2
Tomb Raider
Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon + Call of Juarez Gunslinger double pack

Tomb Raider and half of Borderlands was bought cash. The rest was all from my steam items that I sold... now i will spend the next year dabbling in the marketplace trying to get enough to buy stuff at the end of the year sale again :)

Got the following to keep me busy when my leave starts next week, although I still have a huge backlog of games to play. But these damn specials are just so tempting :)

Bioshock Triple Pack
Bioshock Infinity - Season Pass
Limbo
Nihlumbra
PixelJunk Eden
Titan Quest
Sniper Elite V2

- VVVVVVVVVV
- Desktop Dungeons (plus DLC)
- Dark Souls
- Trial Evolution Gold
- All 3 TrackMania 2's
- Bit.Trip Runner 2 (plus DLC)
- Total War Shogun 2 Complete
- Total War Napoleon Complete
- Total War Empire's DLC
- Stanley Parable

- Euro Truck Sim 2 Gold
- Final Fantasy 8 (although I think I might have bought this one just before the sale started, can't really remember)

has Steam fallen over again? does that mean they are giving another game away for free and i am missing out?!?! ;)

Mine was very slow, and only works through *spit* IE, but now all I'm getting is a "Sorry" message

No, someone DDoS'ed Steam and another group DDoS'ed Origin.

Because, y'know, DDoS attacks are so l33t and means you're totally a hardcore hacker.

I think it has more to do with people downloading their games they bought.

Highly unlikely. The Steam Store, authentication and download servers are all separate.

Due to the lack of credit card, I didn't really get anything on the sale. I did, however, sell some trading cards and bought 2 of the 3 headhunter packs for Borderlands 2, hoping the other trading cards I have listed sell as well so I can buy the third pack.
