All I get I use the G330 logitec its not bad but yeah.

If you want the best go for Sennheiser. My advice is just stay away from Razor headphones as the build quality is shocking and this idea of "true" surround sound does not actually work.
Know a few guys who own Steelseries think it is the 5H though. He enjoyed them but they broke and he bought another set :P

Unfortunatly they are not easy or cheap to get in SA. currently they are raping the SA market. Cost R2500 here http://www.catsdigital.co.za/sennheiser-pc-350-pc-gaming-headphones.html
but if you have some living in the UK this is actually a good thing to buy as you can get them for about 100 pounds or R1250
Also the newly released PC360's are available overseas for 140 pounds or R1750.
Nice thing about them is they are so well built that they are so unlikely to break that you won't ever need to take them back. In SA if you take them back they just tell you that you used them to "roughly" and refuse to replace them any way as was my experience with Take 2 then charged me to get them back :/

I really dont want to be spending over R700 for headphones, so I'm basically looking for the best around that price, oh and I've fixed the link on the OP

lol knew you would find this but in your thread I was using your example of graphics cards but there are a few niche products where you can lower prices but I know that Sennheiser has a branch in SA so not sure if they are the ones making a killing and won't been keen on someone else importing.

Also I have heard they are extremely helpful if your headphones break to supply you with parts to help fix it.
