Hi, Im not liking the mouse that im currently using ( CM Storm Inferno ).

Im looking toward the XAI or Deathadder because I use the claw grip on my mouse.

Is there anywhere in Cape Town where I can test the feel of the mouse before I buy it?

Organised Chaos:D

I have no experience with the Steelseries mice, but I think the Razer's generally work very well. I am getting the Razer Lachesis which is similar, I think. But some say that the mice can be a little uncomfortable being ambidextrous and not specifically designed for either hand. But it doesn't really bother me.

Prefer the Deathadder or Imperator to the Xai. Wife's got a deathadder on her laptop, I've got the Imperator on my desktop, and I have the Xai on my work desktop.

Go with the DeathAdder

Excellent mouse, very comfortable, although not that many gaming extras on it like weights and loads of buttons.

I caution you against buying Razer products. I'm not the only user who's had a problem with virtually every Razer product they've owned. I'd recommend Logitech or Microsoft. Stable manufacturers with quality products.

Defenitely recommend the Xai (see signature), simple reasoning behind it really.

I've owned most of the major gaming brands (Razer, Microsoft, Logitech etc) and the biggest problem I have with their products is not necessarly the performance, or the looks, or even the drivers, it's the durability.

I'm a competetive gamer, and as such my gaming hardware takes alot of abuse (such as my keyboard and mouse) and with the other products I've found they tend to die after a few months (read 6-8 months) of heavy usage. The problem is the financial impact of having to buy a new mouse every now and again is what really put me off the other brands.

I got myself the Xai and 7G keyboard and haven't looked back, best Gaming peripherals I've ever owned without a doubt (albeit not the cheapest).
The Xai is also a ambidextrous mouse, so you can use it either right or left handed. The only problem I have with this is that it has the forward/back buttons on both sides, and seeing as I'm right handed I end up pressing the right sided buttons alot (and if they are bound to a macro it executes the key/macro, which can cause havoc in your games) and have ended up disabling them.

My 2c

A gaming mouse is pretty personal. You really need to see what feels comfortable. then you should look at features. Not the other way around.

I would recommend testing it at a store before making any decisions
Take note though that I personally never recommend any SteelSeries Products due to the fact that their Lazer units are well known for not being reliable enough to sustain long term usage.
If you use a Claw Grip you would have to look at the Imperator due to lenght of the mouse.
Claw Grip Players do better with shorter mice or mice that have Extended Button Configs that allow for "Wrapping" around the front of the mouse.
The Lachesis although favored by some may be too long for smaller hands to properly use.

I've also had a Xai fail on me, and 3 of my friends used Ikari's which didn't last 3 months. But in the end you'll probably get someone complaining about whatever brand because chances are too good that someone has had a bad experience with whatever brand. I've had bad experiences with Razer as well, but I'm currently using their Blackwidow keyboard and Imperator mouse while the wife is using their Deathadder mouse.

I have a Deathaddar mouse, the left click button stopped working properly after a few games of cod4
I am very dissapoint... It was a good mouse for the time it worked properly but the durability is not telling me to much with regards to their mouses.
Overall I'd go with C-Bear's comment, Rather go with a Logitech/Microsoft.
