Strategy game suggestions

One of my fav's currently on week long Steam sale Men of War: Assault Squad
The Voice acting might be a tad weak, but the game-play is solid and well worth a look, even better if you have a friend to play against. For SP the other titles in the series are better suited and also on sale.

While on the subject of sales, you might also like to take a look at Supreme Commander

Your system should be able to handle em both:

Edit: More modern, and a tad more current, Wargame series might also be worth a look (Here I think your current system is gonna have an issue but its worth a mention) European Escalation, Airland Battle and Red Dragon

All good mentions.. but why no aliens.. man? :p |
A personal favourite of mine would be Emperor: Battle for Dune based on the novel by Frank Herbert so the story is exceptionally well told with lots of lore and nods made to the material if you've read the book.
Quite dated by today's standards, it has live action cutscenes which I saw for the first time in a game which made it that much more special.

I used to have a really old PC that I built from parts of other old PCs and I used to lag sooo bad but had soo much fun, that was like 6 years ago, but we played

AGE OF EMPIRES is thee best stratergy game, number one takes sooo long to play but is sooo awesome, AoE 3 is the best for a 2 hour round.

Comand + Conquer is also a good game, but you have to learn how to use it.

also play some first person shooters, Like CS 2007 and COD 1 or 2 if your pc can take it.

We used to and still play AoE 1 + 3 and COD 1 + 2, now and then we get into BF4 and COD MW1 but else the classics are the best to play

Really want to get hold of red dragon.

Yay, I have an actual PC backlog

Ooooo I forgot, Pokemon TCG online. It's free and a great mix of strategy and luck. Plus I'm looking for victims to face my Keldeo/ Plasma Kyrum deck
I'm always up for a beating:D
:wtf: do you have two accounts or did someone do some epic copy+paste work?
Two accounts unless there's way I don't know of that let's you migrate accounts...

They feel rather "false" :/, hideous too, I'd rather have the supernatural but then again, space operas have never been my thing (other than BSG).

I found a decent deal on CC. I know gamers avoid Origin like the plague but why again? They were hacked but so were so Sony and everything is dandy, right? They collect info but so does Steam (wasn't there controversy about it too?) and every other company. So why?

Emperor:Battle for Dune was AWESOME :D I really loved that game, the campaign was fantastic. I got stuck on one level close to the end though :\ How's the book? Sounds like it would be worth a read!

Kidd - grab that special! Definitely not going to get a better deal than that (and perfect timing for you with all our recommendations). I think the main anti-origin thing is that people are against being forced to use a specific platform for one publisher's games, when there's a perfectly decent one in steam (redundancy...)

Loved them - though they are def the kind that won't work for everyone.

There is also a set of Dune mini series...covering the first 3 books. Actually two sets...one 2001-ish and one made back in 1984(?) I think.

Might be worth it to check out one of the Bundle Stars bundles that is currently out? The one with Cossacks and Commandos games... All of them should run on his machine and they were all decent games in their respective days.

I have some of em in Steamgifts.

Absolutely true! It's part of what makes it truly awesome and enhances the entire experience of the game. You might as well play no strategy game then, if not the best!

Also: Dawn of War (Warhammer 40k) + all its expansions. Awesome gameplay :D Think I'm going to reinstall them actually haha

'coz OP mentioned it in the first post :)
Also said no marines and/or aliens, starcraft is as much as marines and alien gets :p

Surprised no one mentioned warcraft 3

Wow, that was fast thanks for informing. Been thinking of starting the 3rd one recently but been distracted by the hd version of the 2nd one :)

Just realized now that I've actually never finished the main campaign of any RTS I've played. None of them were very compelling. After a while I'd just play skirmishes with bots as training but I never get back to the story.

Also Rise of Nations is pretty cool too! Although dated

Ive got the AoE 2 HD one but havnt played it yet. Holidays soon soo will be playing all my games ive missed playing
