Streaming through steam Questions

Hi Guyz and Galz,

Just wanted to know if anyone has attempted this yet.

I wanted to plug a long HDMI cable from my pc to the Tv as I have a Power-color AMD 7950 but the only problem if i do this then there will be a cable laying from the room to the lounge which is not far away but the thought if a cable laying on the floor im not a fan of.

I am very curious to try this I have Mac Os with Lion and I have have a 64bit windows 7 machine.

My windows machine is my gaming machine so i would like to stream through the mac to play my pc games on the Tv.

So will this work if i install steam on both mac and pc?

It will work, but run a wired network. I've tried with wifi and the results are disappointing. The good news is that you really don't need a very powerful machine at the TV end. An AMD A1 processor with it's onboard graphics is quite powerful enough. I just stick my laptop into the TV and I don't have issues, as long as I stick to cables.
