So I went onto Steam today to see if they posted a release date for it yet (I already bought the game months ago :love:) and I see it unlocks in just over two days :eek::D!!!

This is so freaking awesome!!

Anyone else going to get the game?
 
I'll definitely get it at some stage as well. Really enjoyed the first one but missed out on the sequels so this might be the right to get into the series again.
 
Sigh. My CC is taking a beating in the next few days.

Yeah, I would have but my internet is broke again. Cable theft. :( Also wanted Deus Ex DLC and BF3.
 
Awesome stuff! It's been a long time coming. Let's just hope that there are enough changes to the game from it's predecessors that it keeps evolving. Please let us know how it is once you have given it a go!
 
Didn't really play number 2 but from comparing images of 2 to number 3 there doesn't really look like that much of a graphics difference
 
I'm looking forward to this game a lot. I've never played a Stronghold game before. Word floating around the net though is that Stronghold 2 is better... I'd really like to hear your opinions on this conjecture.

I'm still waiting on a reliable review. One of the sites who's judgement I trust. I haven't seen any great user or critic reviews as of yet.
 
Ya, its all negative reviews online atm.. but mostly because of bugs and glitches! should be fixed soon enough with some patches so it should be playable :P will wait until then
 
Seems like a really poor showing, and not just because of the bugs but some major gameplay stuff. Seems like you would be better off playing Stronghold 1, which is unfortunate since I loved that game, would have been nice to see a good sequel.

You can add uncharted 3 to that list too, weird how that all worked out.

If bugs and glitches had any effect on a games review score then BF3 would have suffered badly, for some reason this only affects the smaller development houses, go figure.
 
At risk of spoiling MyGaming's review of Stronghold 3 before publication, suffice to say that it didn't get glowing marks for being buggy and lacklustre... Definitely not worth a full AAA asking price of $50 at this point.
