Are they going to help you become a Jedi?

Unfortunately I'm not going to their campus on Coruscant or the Shire, so that will be a very sad and defeated no...but some day; some day I'll make it..

Quick question:
Where is a good place to start studying regarding IT and such? My cousin's son wants to start doing that next year, and he's not a complete nooblet when it comes to PC's. Although I'm guessing you start at the bottom regardless.
