if you have a free wall, you could build-in shelving for games / books / dvds / figurines etc. An allocated section for everything.
Put back lighting on the shelves so has a subtle glow when you play at night. Will give you some light in the room at least. (not good to play in dark) Try use matching wood color to your desk.

depending on size of room, you could get one of those room dividers to separate the desk and the couch area.

I've got one in my room, a nice wooden carved one, so my pc den is behind it - with book shelf / another desk on the other side. (still need to finish my own pc room, it's just a dump atm)
got a dark ancient oak wooden flooring put in somewhat recently, so getting in furniture to compliment it. Still need to finish painting.

paint the wall one darker color (dark red?) and the rest a lighter color (neatral / beige). Will give the room some character. You can also get some funky wall sticker decals, saw some gaming ones somewhere, and then you get ones with a black city scape of buildings etc. makes a awesome feature on your wall without looking tacky. You can use them with posters in frames, and the design stickers joining the frames up.

if you have empty corners - either put in a nice floor freestanding light that will blend in with the decor, or those ottomans? the poof things. I don't know the name. Some you get longer ones where you can open up and store things in - go for a leather version (or fake leather) to go with the rest of the wooden theme. (leather, wood and subtle yellow lighting looks great, especially when add a dash of dark red)

Make sure you get a desk lamp for your desk. using the main lights can be too bright to play games on.

Also get a comforter / throw blanket for the day bed, even dudes get cold you know. Great for when watching sport

Seeming you have the sink - make use of it. put a cabinet / shelf next to it with a coffee machine, maybe a mini fridge. very simple but make the cupboard in a matching color to your desk.

put shelves in places with any figurines / statues / hell sports tokens if you got em, anything you like or want on display.
can be a tower of beercans, or different bottles.

Jees man. Thanks for the ideas. I like the ideas for the ottomans, will stick with leather as my lounge suit and dinning room chairs and office chair is all leather. Fake stuff sucks. Also like the idea of the bar fridge in there. Will Keep it under my second table. Don't really drink coffee so that's out the window. Only drink it in the morning. Not gonna have pillows or blanket on the day bed, will probably keep them in a cupboard in the room if i need them. Desk light can work even though i have back lit keys. Don't know about the stickers etc. Like one standard colour through out the room and then have some game and movie posters in there with a wooden backing. Shelves are also awesome, gonna get someone to build some for me.

Haha. There are a few things that i have already arranged from here. ADSL lines, Telkom telephone lines Chubb. So i am sorted when i move in. Don't want to risk not being covered by the insurance. No armed response, no insurance! You are more than welcome to come have a look and lan at my place if you want? Network port in almost every room in the house. Still working on the toilets and bathroom lol. (i kid) For those areas i will use wifi. hahaha

Also have 4 season tickets to Newlands for the rugby if you keen? To0kenZA might join me for a Currie cup game already.

Oh yeah, I am a rugby fan! Actually going to Newlands on Saturday to see the Stormers THRASH! the Bulls... Will be cool to join :)

I wish i could be there for that. I am upset that i cant see the Bulls wipe there asses off with the Stormers on home ground. LOL. Yeah we will organize once i am down there. I am hoping that the stormers make semis then there will be extra tickets while i am there if their semi is on home ground. Gonna probably take clients to that one though.

You can draw your room and then imagine it with furniture etc in it to get a feel for how it will look and feel.

Sweet. Will give it a try thanks. I did mention Season Tickets haha. I have got 6 season tickets for Loftus as well. lol. They are my parents tickets though. You better meet up with me quickly if you want me to organize you tickets. Don't give them to anyone unless i have met them and trust them. I have lost 2 season tickets before and they cost R450 a ticket to replace.

Haha. Unfortunately that is not my car. Its a friends of mine car. He let me use it for my wedding. That was my car and my wife had a Phantom. Don't spend my money on cars. Spend it on property, greater returns most of the time. Another mate sold his Ferrari F430 a while back for R2 million when he paid R3.3 million 2 years ago. That's R1.3million loss. Nice thing is that i can use their cars if i want. I have driven the GT-R 35 and that's a car i might buy in the next 3 years. Beats any Ferrari into the ground. Awesome piece of engineering!
 
Please post pics when you finally get it set up. Sounds like it's going to be pretty epic, and I'm quite jealous already. GL with the move

That's the car I will buy if I win a lottery. I actually have a Nissan GTR info card on my wall next to my desk, that I got when the car was on display in Canal Walk. It's kind of an inspiration card, when sitting at work and thinking of how terrible clients are etc, you look at that card and you realize why you put up with all the shit...
