Dunno what games you guys watched last year but as it went on, Frans was a very imposing midfield presence. He's a smart rugby player and I'll always give him another chance

Sure he is big but like I said the ball dies with him. Remember when the Sharks put on that big score against the Rebels? Frans Steyn came on in the last 15 or so minutes and after he came on the Sharks couldn't score one more try. The ball would get to Frans, he would bash into the player in front of him and the momentum would be lost.

It happened time and time again. :( I really hope he does better this year.
 
Frans steyn is not that bad he jsut has a lack off form and i hope this season will be he's return we need a good defending center again for the sharks but i don't see him easily pushing out jj and Jan from Bok positions

I would rather play him back at fullback like where he started we need a decent fullback because nicknacks Kirchner is just not doing it\
And if Taute will ever be the same again i doubt a lot

Willie for me is an amazing fullback. I don't really see a place for Francois in the Springbok team at the moment. Maybe he will prove me wrong though.

Taute's break was awful! He was also pretty poor before it though. I'm hoping that the time that he spent away from the game has done him good and that he will be the hold Lions Taute.

Look im not saying hes not good, I just think him playing in France has taken away that physical awesomeness that is the South African way of Rugby...
 
Yeah Willie is awesome but remember he did big things last year so the rugby community will expect that to carry on this year and i hope he can cope with the pressure. because we can use him well and he fits in nicely at Wing and Fullback.

And Lambie will struggle this year seeing as he just got married and from what i've seen the last 2 years any rugby player that gets married has a bad season right after that

I think it's the new missus that's taking away their form and energy

I thought Wille le Roux was our stand out player for last year... he was the best all round performance, and he made that full back position his... I hate it when they take players and move them around the back line... especially from full back... If we have a specialist full back, leave him there so he can BE A SPECIALIST FULL BACK...

I dont think getting married will have an effect on lambie :p but only time will tell...
 
i hope they can get old Frans Steyn up and running again and back to full back. I think we need him and his boot for the next world cup.

The combination of the Sharks which is already a great team with Jake White is just championship material. I won't be surprised if the Sharks win Super Rugby this year.

However there's two teams that will offer tough competition.

1. Chiefs. They won it two times in a row and now they've got some great new players. I believe Sonny Bill is back too.
2. The Stormers. Hehe it's my team so I got to have hope for them. :D

I actually forgot he signed up at the sharks! I got really confused coz i thought you were refering to the Bok team...

Jake did really well with a terrible Brumbies team... He turned them around in the space of a year... Im actually really keen to see how things go with him and john smit together...
 
Well with jake white at the sharks i can see them going to at least the semis again this year and even a final but this years competition is going to be tough and i can see teams playing B-sides on a few occasions to spare players from major injuries for next years world cup Next to Jake HM is the best SA coach we have ( now the hate sticks will fly)

Looks like some of the teams are trying to induce vomiting in their opponents. Very clever tactic.
 
Still waiting to see what the other teams from Oz and NZ look like i'll look for some pics when i'm at work

But the SA jerseys are impressive i have to give the stormers credit theirs look the best(away kit) not the zig zag home kit the bulls did that already
