So SUPERHOT releases tomorrow.

For those who haven't heard of this game before:
SUPERHOT is the first person shooter where time moves only when you move.

With its mesmerising gameplay and unique, stylized graphics SUPERHOT aims to finally add something new and disruptive to the FPS genre.

See the bullets crawling towards you as you carefully plan your steps and aim your gun. Enjoy the mayhem that is unleashed as you put that plan into motion.

Dodge bullets. Take out your enemies. One step at a time.

Better yet, try out the original prototype here, be aware that you can't run it in Chrome as it doesn't support the unity web plugin (so use FF).

The whole concept of time only moving when you do is really interesting, changing this from a reflex based FPS into a strategic Turn-based FPS. What reminded me of this game is the really clever advert for it on mobile where the ad's video only plays when you scroll up and down (i.e. move the screen)

Some gameplay:

I'm sure I'll pick it up at some stage. I'm far too "financially prudent" (i.e. a cheap-skate) to not wait for a sale, and my backlog continues to grow faster than I can play, but this is on the want list.

It's one of those games I don't think you really get a sense of how it works by watching some videos, think you really going need to try it for yourself.

Been looking forward to this one. I'm glad that it finally got released. It kept on being pushed back, so hopefully it reviews well.

I get that it is something fresh but somehow it does not really appeal to me. I prefer good old real time and reflexes and you possibly could still play it that way, but then taking away from the actual game idea/design.

Price on Steam is R242,10 - the Steam reviews are positive with complaints mainly focusing on how the game is too short for the asking price.

I'm keen to get it but will wait for a sale.

Mmm looks quite fun but also super easy.

From what I hear it gets quite complicated, especially when taking into account things like challeneges and speedruns. Like melee only challenge etc.

Watch the video, it explains a lot and makes it seem really, really interesting.

Finished the "story" last night, really enjoyed it. Was a bit short but there is more you can do in endless mode etc / challenges.
