T-shirts

Hey guys.

I am interested in getting some t-shirts printed for myself. Basically I want to get band logo's on the shirts (AC/DC, KISS etc) Now I know there is a high level of copyright issues going on here, but surely if i'm just printing a once-off it wouldnt cause too much of a stir?

I would just go out and buy those crappy transfer papers and stuff but those dont last, and I really dont feel like forking out R10000 to buy a proper silkscreen or heat press. Also, I need a decent shirt quality.

Anyone know of anyone who would be interested in helping me out here?

EDIT: I'm not keen on these lasting 10 years, but I want them decent. Similar to the mygaming.co.za shirts we got?

If you live in durbz in the pav there is a girl who does printing on t-shirts think she asked about R150.

nah i'm from Joeys. yeah i've seen a couple of the guys at the fleamarkets that do it. R150 is still a little heavy, i mean the authentic ones are like R200-R300

There is a reason why copyrights exist. And doing this is in my opinion the equivalent of pirating.

Moral highground aside, I don't know of such places unfortunately, but I suspect you will struggle for two reasons. Number being the copyright issue, not many places I suspect will be prepared to risk printing it and secondly the fact that you only want one or two shirts printed will probably make this cost prohibitive in any case.

I agree with you, it is the same as piracy. But what if I were to create my own design of the shirt, and slapping in the logo somewhere? Would it not be the same if you were to illustrate a desktop wallpaper and slapping in a FIFA logo? I know what you are saying and I understand the copyright infringements. But surely because I am not selling off the shirts to other people it shouldnt be a problem?

As for your second point about the cost prohibitive, thats exactly the problem I have run into, many companies arent interested in printing 5-10 shirts once off :/

Thanks tpex, I've googled for it, but although I have found some companys, most are for big batch orders (and the rest I have emailed my queries)

yeah i think i might as well... and at least the quality of them is good. cant stand crappy shirts...
