Table Mountain is in the running to become one of the New7Wonders of Nature, but this South African attraction is falling behind!

The New7Wonders will be announced on November 11, 2011 and we need your help to ensure our place in the history books.

That basicly sums it up as to what they want to do so go check it out and maybe give your vote on it.

Ever other year they pick new ones, you know for tourism and spreading the love you know...

One of my top ten pointless exercises, if you ask me. If something's a wonder it doesn't suddenly stop being wonderful and get replaced with something else ... nothing exactly pops up that fast.

Don't worry I have the same feeling. And why should their only be 7 wonders of the world thats a bit stupid.

lol... The Wonders don't change. There's a huge list of man-made and natural ones.

Lots of companies and tourist industries run campaigns every so often to select their "top 7" or whatever. This is just another one of those campaigns the winners can brag about. Nothing too exciting :)

Exactly. If they want a wonder, they should come and check my room - it's a wonder a human being can survive in there without going completely bonkers :D

Hmmm ... I suppose that isn't quite natural though, is it. More man-made :D

I doubt we're gonna make it.. I heard we were 11th on Monday. It's a little unfair considering South Africa is a third world country with alot of people who don't have Internet

Meh. I doubt I'm going to bother voting. This is one of the most pointless exercises I've ever heard of.

This. Table Mountain isn't even that great tbh. Yeah, sure, pretty awesome mountain, beautiful and all that. But top 7? Nuh uh.

And here's where it get's interesting ...

Article in the Cape Times this morning claiming that the whole exercise is nothing more than a big cash-cow for the company running it - it has no affiliations with any official organisations either. Unesco has already officially distanced themselves from the whole thing.
