Tabletop Simulator

So I have had my eye on Tabletop simulator on Steam for quite some time now but haven't quite gotten to buying it.

Has anyone here used it? I would love to hear your thoughts. Any excuse to play more board games :D
 
I have seen a lot of people on youtube use it to play games, but i have yet to get it since there is none else i know has it to play games with

I haven't used it, have seen a few youtube videos with it though. Seems pretty cool.
 
Okay so I caved and bought the 4 pack with some friends but I have not had the chance to play something with a group of friends yet.

I have played around with some of the workshop content and it all looks pretty easy and straightforward. There is a LOT of content in the workshop. The bigger board games seem to take a while to load though. I was a little worried about rules and rule interpretations but the ones I have tried have a digital rule book included and the simulator does not enforce any rules. The simulator itself looks pretty awesome, tile edges snap together very nicely on builder games like the betrayal games. I must say I am looking forward to sitting down with some friends for some virtual boardgames!
 
So after having played a game of Carcassonne with some friends on Tabletop Simulator, I will say that it will definitely not be that last boardgame I play on the platform.

I was pleasantly surprised with how well the ability to rejoin works if someone's connection fails temporarily.
