South Africa will be attending the 6th Annual IeSF World Championships in 2014.

Only those who have already managed to send a teams overseas will know the work and financial cost that is involved in such an undertaking. The MSSA has sent eSports teams overseas since 2005. As it is, all involved in the 6th 2014 IeSF World Championships - Baku have gone all out to make this world championship an event to remember. The World Championships will thus be played in the recently completed Crystal Hall, while the team village is the ever so swanky Fairmont Hotel.

Thus the MSSA is deeply indebted to MWEB for its continued and committed support which has ensured South African participation at the IeSF World Championships since 2012.

Every year since 2009 the South African commitment to World Championship competition has been growing. 2014 is no different, and the team that will be representing South Africa at the 2014 IeSF World Championship - Baku will be the largest eSports team that has ever departed from South Africa to play at a IeSF event.

However, it is in the women that will be going overseas to play "StarCraft II" and "Tekken Tag Tournament II" that the administrators put their greatest faith. In 2012, Gabriela Issacs finished in second place in StarCraft II and since then, the female members of the South African team have always proved a force to be reckoned.

Yolandi Williams represented South Africa at the 2013 IeSF World Championships - Bucharest. At such championships, Yolandi was a real trooper, she played hard, she tried hard, she gave 100%! As a result Yolandi finished in the quarter finals, and it was largely due to her efferts in the StarCraft II title that South Africa edged its way up the rankings to be finally be ranked in tenth place.

A lot rides on Yolandi's shoulders, not only is there prize money of R25,000.00 at stake, but there is also the task of bettering her position.

Yolandi's team mate is none other than Morizane Boyes. Morizane has been a very active volunteer and also won the SPAR Volunteers award in 2013. However through her love of the game, and of competition, Morizane took to playing the title of Tekken Tag tournament II. Such is Morizan's commitment, that Morizane has established herself as the top female gamer in such title.

Morizan and Yolandi are without doubt the two best female gamers in South Africa and are indeed a formidable force.

The team will be issued with its new kit showing the sponsorship of MWEB at the award ceremony on Tuesday, 11 November 2014 immediately before embarking on their wonderful adventure.

The full team is:

Its cool that we have a SA team But sad that its not the Best SA players to represent RSA

But they are the best team in SA!

If you feel that others should be in the team, please encourage them to participate in MSSA events so that they can qualify for National Team Trials.

LOL if you think they the best... you dont know any of the top Gamers in RSA.

Im sure you know why the top players dont want to play for the MSSA.

apart from Static (Nathan Anderson) with Starcraft 2 dont see how this is the best SA has to offer. How did the MSSA pick this player roster. Was it from the results of tournaments, or was it just due to them being apart of MSSA ?

MSSA i dont trust at all when it comes to esports for RSA and im not the only one. I could be wrong but someone would have to prove it. No disrespect towards the players, Good luck to them but to say they the best in SA i dont think so. Dota team ??? I dont follow Dota so heavy but i did not see those players in the Finals of DGC.....or even round of 4.

I would like to see some sort of play offs or results on how MSSA picked these players. If results are given then maybe i would be less agro when it comes to MSSA. For now i still think MSSA are just a monopolizing esports in RSA

if you dont know about it.. then i guess you just dont know about the MSSA.
or did you guys not know whats going on with the history of MSSA and some gamers.

did you guys forget about the whole Lazygamer vs MSSA issue ?
I know some people have there own opinion when it comes to MSSA and i have my own. maybe its best you do your own reading up on what MSSA means for SA. Not so hard to look it up.

They are basically the opposite of what the gaming community stands for. There seems to be quite a few threads on MyG with complaints.

In other words,Fck MSSA.

It would have been interesting to have heard of some tournaments that guys won etc to get selected?

I know HearthBattles do some tournaments with regards to Hearthstone, but also why is it only one guy going?

Do you have to some how "affiliate" yourself with MSSA to get selected?

Seems like more of an effort should be made to advertise opportunities...

yea you cant be selected if you not apart of MSSA.
I dont know how they even selected the team it was just done. No tournaments of what i seen

well i still dont even know what this team has done or is doing.

I agree with you HawkerZA

Would be pretty pissed if their SC2 team was full of bronzies...would be interesting to see their ranks.

Seems they have only won one test game against Mexico in DoTA2.All their other games are complete fails.
