Tekken Krap rather get Mortal Kombat :p.

well seriously I would pass on tekken, I hate the stop-go-stop-go-stop-stop-go-go fighting style. it's like watching a choppy tube video. Dante was great, but not perfect either as I wanted to crush my xbox out of frustration due to cheap/cheating boss fights and those obvious now you must use X to kill X in time X. Neither is real re-playing value imho.

If I really had to choose it would dante, though in the fighting games i would prefer mk, dead or alive or virtual fighter. In that order.
 
Not a tekken fan here, given the situation
I'd go for Dante's Inferno, unless you like the type of fighting game that Tekken is
 
If you like having friends over to play games then get Tekken as it is not too complicated (compared to lets say Street Fighter). If you are more the solo gamer then get Dante's Inferno... ps these games are pretty old and cheap now... Not much of a gift if you ask me :p

Well, if you have to choose for between JUST those too (you really sure you can't get MK), then consider what these above posters have said about Tekken's fighting style- its more methodical and can be a bit slow, unless of course you've played earlier Tekken's and loved it. Dante's on the other hand is like Devil may cry, but its also very mature and not to played with parents around.... ;P
 
Would rather of gone for Castlevania in my opinion. Dante is good, i love it, but Castlevania just crushes testicles!!
 
Definitely Dante's Inferno. It's a very underrated game and you wont be disappointed. I loved every minute of it.

Talking about cheap, old games, I find that Bayonetta is also seriously underrated. What a great game that was.

Ah, in that case i will not be playing Castlevania.... (Talks gently to testicles, "don't worry, we wont be getting that game")
 
Well ive enjoyed Dante's to the extent that ive completed the game in all modes from zealot to nightmare, too bad there wont be a sequel :(
