I'd love the day Telkom actually had some decent competition in the market so that their stranglehold on telecommunications could finally come to an end...

Indeed. Everyone thought that Neotel would be good competition for them, but the only sign you see of Neotel nowadays is the occasional manhole cover with their logo on.
 
384k TI uncapped:
Average speed: 335 - 64 overheads = 271 kbps or 26KB/s
Max possible download: 86 gigabyte per month

1024k TI uncapped
Average speed: 705 - 64 overheads = 641 kbps or 80KB/s
Max possible download: 205 gigabyte per month

This is assumes the product performs at the specified levels 24/7, which is unlikely.
 
The 4 meg to 10 meg Uncapped is very overpriced compared to the other packages it should be lowered substantially
 
I might actually consider this if Telkkom actually had the infrastructure in place to support all the new subscribers they're trying so hard to get to sign up. I've been waiting for the past 3 months for them to just give me an ADSL port and nobody there can even tell me when that's going to happen.
They've given me no reason to change my opinion of there shoddy service, screw Telkom!
