Terrible games inspired by movies

The most recent two that I can remember playing:
- Star Trek The Video Game released last year - I thought it was pretty horrible. I really tried to like it but I just couldn't.
- R.I.P.D. The Game was another really crappy attempt.

WingCommander IV! Man I loved that game. Came on like 8 discs!

I remember that glad we only need 1-2 dvd's now or that you can download it online, what a change from the old times.

I remember sometimes having 20 floppy disks to install stuff before cd's came out lol.

I actually got this from GOG a while ago...a quick look reveals that it's a 6.2GB download. I think I should really give this a shot sometime.

Anyone remember the Matrix game that was a tie-in with the movie? Must admit it had a few cool sequences in it but got old quite fast. The one thing that I vividly remember is all the vehicles square looking tyres though.

It was fun for its time (especially for a movie tie-in); but it did get rather repetitive after a certain period of time. The game was also truly unplayable without a gamepad. It was a clear port to PC

It does appear that it shall still be many years before these 2 separate forms of media can share a bed together without one pulling away all the covers from the other an making it an ugly, vengeful monster.

HAHA, I remember the square tyres. I actually really enjoyed the game, as far as i can remember. It was such a long time ago though.

The Matrix game was amazing! I loved it! had completely forgotten about it!

Is it just me or does everyone think that every spiderman game thats been launched has been a flop? I think the best one so far was probably Shattered Dimensions but that wasn't directly related to a specific movie...

Im still waiting for a complete sandbox spiderman... Do what you want when you want... Webslinging around the city...

For the lulz; any future Matrix movies should have square tires as well :p

I actually came to post in this thread thinking of the Matrix game, but I had completely forgotten about those tyres. Would be classic if they ever made a new one and made the game with square tyres... "A glitch in the Matric "

The Spidey game based on the first movie (of the McGuire trilogy) was quite decent and I enjoyed that enough to finish it. The game on the 2nd movie sucked. The newer Spidey games are decent but is not based on any of the movies. They did get a bit repetitive after a while though. There is a Spidey game based on the new Spider-Man movie but I haven't played it yet, and probably won't. Don't think it did so good.

Last one I played was Spider-Man 3 and I loved it on the 360. I can't wait to see what Next-Gen can do with a Spider-Man game because frankly there's a lack of Superhero games. Batman and Deadpool are but 2.

Matrix: The Path of Neo, The Spider-Man games (almost all of them were okay-to-good) Battle for Middle Earth and Scarface were pretty awesome games for movie tie-ins. Also, I played Fight Club that was mentioned in the article, and it wasn't the worst game that I have ever played.

Apart from Colonial marines, most of the Alien games, especially the AvP one's were bloody magnificent!

I forgot about those, wow they were fun and amazing in those days, I think I still have the CD's around somewhere lol.
