So im playing cod4 on the iGame Delta server(Hardcore). We were halfway through a map and people decided to vote for a different map. As far as i know your not allowed to do mid map votes. So we go to wet work, spawn...run...nade one guy...another map vote to china town. So now im getting irritated. We start...im on 8k 0d...and another vote...to change the game mode. So now weve done 4 votes in 5 mins and we start again. Oh the suprise another vote.

And heres the cherry. I typed "Stop the dam mid map voting". What do i get? A vote to kick me from the server. So i would like to thank iGame for their wonderfull moderators who allow their stupid little friends to ruin the game for other people.

Still cant understand why people are so inlove with dedicated servers. Its shit like this that makes me never want to play cod4.
 
I think the best person to approach with this problem is Xerowing he is one of them mods and he will sort out the issue :)
 
Oom Yskas, dis een van die cool dinge van Promod Servers, gewoonlik baie admins, en baie baie baie baie minder bs as die tdm en hardcore servers.
 
ja ek hoor jou. Selfde het so ruk terug met my gebeur. Promod was leeg, was about so 3 uur die oggend, ek en 2 buddies klim op die hardcore en skiet p*ele pap, eers word hy ge wout kiek want hy epic nade hulle heeltyd en kry airstrikes, en toe ek SELF moan oor die mid map voting, toe gooi hulle my ook met n kiek wout. ek sal was effe negatief.
 
yeah i've had that problem too. Joined a server and the map was shipment, that tiny one with the containers. I run around shoot two guys, they all yell "Knives only retard" etc etc... Two mins later they all vote to kick me off.
 
Now now, slow your roll dude, this was both unneccesary as well as completely pulled out of proportion by involving Admins and they're supposed involvement in allowing people they supposedly know to act out on servers.
Admins can't be everwhere at once, it's a physical impossibilty, we are the only service that has constant admins on 24 hours a day and has a call centre when even the admins cannot be reached.
You did not make use of any of these avenues that were open to you in addressing this issue, you used a forum, not even ours, to rant about an issue.

For interest sake, not that we handle issues on other forums, here's how the process works.
Players have an issue on a server, they report it to an admin if none are on server with them, this can be done in the following way:
Xfire ( 18 Hours a day )
Skype ( 18 Hours a day )
E-mail ( 24 Hours a day )
Telephonic ( Call centre is 24 Hours a day )
Forum ( 24 Hours a day )
** If you had been on our forums you would have known the channels and would have been able to access the admins via Xfire, all admins are listed.
I notice you only joined today after 4 ?

Admins pull logs for time period of issue and enforce the iGame STCU accordingly.
This results in either temporary bans if first offense or 31 Day bans if repeated incidents are caused by the same player.
Now instead of providing an admin with any issue relevant information , you simply redirected your frustration towards the portal in general, therefore this issue will be solved in the following manner:

We will pull logs for the Entire Week, as you did not stipulate a day, for each player, as you did not provide that information either and then run a scan for all voting, the offenders will be punished but it will take much longer to do than it would have if any of the support channels were followed or used.

So, to conclude, it's our pleasure in dealing with individuals, specifically those who rant on 3rd party forums instead of using the direct channels provided, and as to our level of service, please feel free to send all relevant comments to

Xero lets get something straight here. I can go to which ever forum and rant as much as i want because i have freedom of speach. Secondly its maybe the 10th time i really played on a iGame cod4 server so excuse me for not knowing all and everyone in the game.

Thirdly im amazed this is the iGame response to a issue that not just me has raised. I dont need to raise this with you guys. This is a public forum where i can come and air my opinions about your cod4 servers. And i feel even stronger about SGS as theirs are worse.

But mate for you to come as an official iGame representative and give me that response is laughable at best. You didnt even ask me what happened in detail...No no you shift all the blame on me and cover up your pretty iGame behind. Well Done Dude.

EDIT: Im not going to delete the post as i dont want to suck out. Yes im very frustrated as this has never happened to me and i always follow any servers rule. Ive heard from so many guys that this happens and i always thought that couldnt happen as there is mods. But now that it happened to me im very pissed off. I do apologize if i am coming across as attacking iGame as thats not my intention but i do feel that there are people abusing your servers the last couple of days.

Not going to argue, instead of taking the route you did, you could have , as stated used any of the channels available to you, you didn't and therefore I explained how the issue would be resolved. I don't ask for details on a 3rd party forum, because this is not the place to do so, as you may or may not know.
No one stated you couldn't do what you wanted, I reread my post and never said anything outside the fact that you had channels available, and pointed out the fact that this could have been handled differently to guarantee a more expedient result.

And btw, I clearly state that our Admins cannot be everywhere at once, how is that blame shifting?
Anyway, actually you don't need to answer that as I am done discussing this matter outside of official channels

As for your last edit, over the last couple of days we've had some serious issues on some of our other titles, forcing admins to be elsewhere, this could not be avoided, but as I said, I understand the frustration, next time, just let an admin know and the hammer will be swift and accurate in solving the issue at hand.
LOL, you think you're frustrated, I once joined our Beta server,started warning players for trying to enforce restricted kit games and got kick voted off .. my .. own .. server :/

This is the same all the twits who moan about tanks on the CoD5 server. Go complain to SGS, untill than, They are there, they are a fair advantage, and I'm gonna use them, so, eat cannon or find another server.

You have the freedom of speach, you also have the freedom of doing something elce.

Gees dude, a bit harsh don't you think? It's not a problem with their service, it's with the players. You didn't even bother taking the matter further with the admin who iGame provide as a service for situations like these...

It's like blaming the highway for a car accident when a drunk driver caused it. Hardly fair.
 
Personally, I think iGame had a great response, and have great support.

I think people need to remember that they don't actually pay for this service, iGame provide it for free. I think you may need to lose the sense of entitlement =/ It's a free service, you don't really have a right to complain. Don't like it, use something else.
 
Fridge, i too understand your frustration as do most people. The past few months there has been a huge influx (groot woord!) of SGS players and youngsters to the iGame servers and many don't know the ROE of the iGame servers. Most of the time there is senior players or admins on the servers who you can contact and they will sort it out as soon as humane posible. Xero and Spartan with their admins is always willing to help and sort the culprits out.

Contact them or if they arent available,xfire me (pietpompies3) and i will make sure they are contacted. Pls don't let this incident put you of the excellent service they provide for us for free (dis verniet!) and come enjoy cod with us.
 
I think we have all been where fridge is coming from. It's the reality of playing online with other people. Whether its being ganked/corpse camped in WoW, facing blatant HAX in MW2 (or being accused of HAX), the heinous trolls of HoN/DotA, or various shit-heads that inhabit local CoD servers, its just a part of gaming online. Loads of people are put off online gaming for these reasons, so you are not alone in your frustration. However, I think it is important to keep things in context. I do know that this is difficult, and incidents like the one you described have an uncanny way of getting under the skin.

Sadly, it is difficult to control a constantly shifting and changing online community, and I would hate to even try and do what the iGame or SGS guys do. I think they do a great job, and every time I log onto their servers I am mindful of the fact that people have to work very hard to maintain them, and yet I don't have to pay a cent - which almost doesn't even make sense.

So things will slip through, and there will be incidents like this due to the human element. Just like there will be fights at bars/clubs and people will swear at each other in traffic and fight over parking bays.

The best thing to do is record the names of the offending players, the server details, the time, and as much other information as possible. Then find out who is responsible for the server you are on, and send the information to a moderator. You are far from alone, and if we all do this, then it will quickly become clear to admins who the trouble makers are, and they can be banned quite easily.

I understand why Xerowing is frustrated with you posting in this forum. A few months ago we had a trouble making forum user from MyGaming posting the contents of a PM between himself and one of our mods in another local forum. I was annoyed, because instead of trying to solve the issue internally by contacting myself and the mod in question to work things out, he went on a flaming spree in another forum, where I had to go sign up, and defend MyGaming. Luckily I was able to contact that forum's mods and they told him to stfu.

But the point is that he would have gotten further had he contacted me directly. We could have discussed in maturely, but him going on the attack and trying to spread bad PR just pissed me off.
 
I myself have contacted the admins once or twice before and sure enough things were resolved in a timely manner and it's great to know the guys really do care about working on the iGame servers to keep them well maintained :)

Ok so in all fairness I think its safe to ask heehee :p

And this is why I very rarely play online or even LAN anymore

20minutes of actual playing and an hour of map change or knive/Deagle rounds - FFS ive got a fully automatic machine gun with a noob tube attached why the hell would I want to fight with a knive.

I thought that it was just me because everybody else seems to love that crap.

But as most people have already pointed out this problem has nothing to do the servers but with our fellow gamers.
 
For Heavens guys. Go read my last edit youll see i said im sorry for blaming iGame i was angry. We had a lengthy discussion on xfire and all was sorted again. Its like i told him. I dont want to go run to the admins. I like to come post on mygaming where the guys who know me can give my bruised ego a massage.

I know iGame gives very good service hence the reason why i have apologised.
