The advertising FAIL thread

So lately I have noticed a lot of companies, some big names even *cough*game*cough*, that have made some really dumb mistakes with their advertising, so I though I'd start this thread so we can all share in the hilarity that it often causes :D

I saw someone posted this link on Facebook yesterday, but Game fixed it straight after. Got a screenshot of the link though, where you can still see the incorrect image they used.

Ok now since we know all about these sites that are starting to charge people for Bids in order to auction unlike Bid or Buy, here are a few to name and shame:

These guys actually state that in their T's and C's you get 500 free Bids ZOMGTHISISAMAZING!!! :eek:......................NOT!! You join the ranks of those in the non premier and VIP auction rooms to bid for say an iPhone or something ridiculous like that. What will probably happen is you win a bid here, get something shitty and small. PAY for shipping charges and then end up blowing your entire salary on 100's of bids that will not win you a single item.

This one started the infamy in SA with these sites, they're scum!! But the entire site is rigged with Bots who make auto bets 5 seconds before an auction is due to end and instead of waiting 2 additional minutes, you end up waiting roughly about 3-5hrs and by then the site has taken your money, because people are too stupid to realize how pathetic this idea was, or they're technologically challenged.



As for www.bidmania.co.za their contact details are another story, as well as their address!!

I can't believe those "bidding" sites still exist, or that people still fall for that shit for that matter

Trust me, when I say that I've seen scams left right and center. People easily get caught out with those bidding sites, and the most obvious places to visit would be those that aren't charging you to bid. Especially for a "cellphone" that is going for a special of OH.....MY.....GAWD!! R2.50 for today only.
