The All Rugby Thread.

Ha I called the game exactly at Rugby365. I wrote ten points as to why South Africa is going to lose by 7 points. And we lost by 7 points.

It sucks that we lost but man I've called most games this year and I'm feeling a little proud about it at the moment. :)

i seriously wanted to run up on that stage and punch the rasta in the face.... he destroyed our anthem.... :(

so i missed the game on friday night :( but i watched the repeat on sat morning, and oi, it went pearshaped from the anthem...

...but i think we were overconfident, the team selection was dodgy - yes adrian jacobs can't play rugby anymore to save his life and the ref whoever called it last week that we sufer against the ref got it spot on

Yeh i saw the start of the match on Fri nite while waiting for the storm to pass over and then things looked ok in the first half but ja the guys just didnt perform and i think it was that dumbass who ripped our anthem off

will have to wait to see the highlights tonight, but from what i read, it seems like fourie du preez had a great game...

...now if only the other sa teams can keep the winning going, specially the lions

Chiefs vs. Stormers.
10 - 20

40 Conversion: Stephen Donald

39 Try: Tanerau Latimer

38 The Stormers relax just before half time and they let Latimer in for a vital try. Lauaki broke off the back of the scrum and handed off Burger before feeding Latimer who crashed in under the poles.

35 Nanai-Williams chips over and it almost bounces for Sweeney. The first time the Chiefs have threatened the Stormers line.

31 Bruce comes on for Delaney as the Chiefs try to regroup.

28 Conversion: Peter Grant

27 Try: Duane Vermeulen

26 Another great try as Aplon fields at the back and sets off on a run. He slices through and passes to Vermuelen who goes in to score.

24 Conversion: Peter Grant

23 Try: Bryan Habana

22 The Stormers score a contender for try of the season. It went through the hands beautifully with Fourie, Naqelevuki, Liebenberg and Louw - to name a few - handling well. It comes wide and Habana goes over untouched in the corner.

20 Penalty: Peter Grant

19 Naqelevuki makes a strong run and there's a huge overlap out left. Burger looks good to score, but they are called back for obstruction. They go back for a penalty which Grant will knock over.

16 Penalty: Stephen Donald

15 The Stormers are pinged for hands in the ruck and the Chiefs will have a shot at goal from right out in front.

13 Missed Penalty: Peter Grant

12 Lauaki is penalised for going offside and Grant has a shot at goal. He's missed - it's only his second miss of the season.

10 Penalty: Peter Grant

9 The Stormers put huge pressure on the Chiefs at the scrum and earn a penalty. Grant has a shot at goal - he doesn't miss.

8 Aplon cuts the line and puts Naqelevuki away. The big Fijian doesn't stretch out to score - as he could have - but tries to pass and spills the ball on the tryline.

5 Again the Stormers are turned over - Fondse this time running upright - and the Chiefs have a go. They cough it up and this allows the Stormers to have another go. Habana has a go first and then Bekker is prominently involved. In the end Fourie takes the ball to the touchline and earns a lineout throw.

2 The Stormers pass the ball down the line unconvincingly and are turned over. Duvenage makes the first tackle and turns tbe ball back over, but they lose the ball forward.

1 Donald kicks off - Naqelevuki fields and crashes it back and then Grant clears downfield.

0 The Stormers and the Chiefs run out onto the park. We're moments from kick-off in Hamilton.

Secondhalf:
15 - 49
75th minute.

41 The second half is underway - the Stormers get the ball and look to run the ball up.
43 Try: Tiaan Liebenberg
44 Conversion: Peter Grant
45 Liebenberg rounded off another team move in the left corner. Bekker broke down the right and it was a
beautiful pass from Habana that put Liebenberg away for the third Stormers try.
51 The Stormers have an overlap out wide, but butcher the last pass. They have a penalty, though, and they will
knock it over from out in front.
52 Penalty: Peter Grant
55 Try: Sireli Naqelevuki

Go stormers u guys are awesome,I think u guys are the best yeah (this was a paid message) everybody knows the sharks are awesome

For a moment I thought that the lions and cheetahs were going to hamper the progress of the other SA teams as they usually do every year. They always give five point to every international team they play but as soon as they play a SA side they seem to up their game and cause an upset...
