The All Rugby Thread.

While I don't think we need a whole sport section, I definitely think we need at least this rugger thread :D
Doesn't matter what team you support (even though everyone knows only The Sharks is worthy of support :p), this is the place to find out about fixtures, results, teams and to do some ribbing, bragging, bash-a-ref, etc. And with the Lions tour coming up, we all turn into Springbok supporters anyway :D

So I'll start and say that I'm really looking forward to the Sharks playing the Brumbies on Saturday ..... and even though I think we'll win, it's gonna be a highly taut affair, what with good ol' Bryce Lawrence in charge (he of the dreaded Canberra game last year and Mr 2nd-most-inconsistent). But hey, those flutters aside, I reckon it'll be a good game to watch :D

(no hardcore bashing though .... that's just lame)

For us non-sport followers, mind giving us a breakdown of which SA teams are currently in which position on the log?

For the blasphemers (aka non-rugby followers :p), here is the log -

Cool, so the bulls still have 1 game less than the rest of the contenders and already leading.

LOL @ the Crusadres...useless puta's!!
Anyway thanx MH, i'll be visiting this thread every weekend!!

I'm a Stormers supporter. I really thought they would start off better this year.

As for the Cheetahs.... well I think they should be taken out of the Super 14. It's humiliating that they are from South Africa.

if you combine the currie cup and the super 14 the cheetahs have lost 15 consecutive games in a row.... i dunno if anyone heard that on the news.... that coach is going down lol... :p

They've lost 15 consecutive games? That's tragic. Can you imagine the morale in the camp? They probably go on the field knowing that they will lose.

yep its the biggest amount of losses in one consecutive season of Rugby... or something like that but its still extremely bad... I had a mate who used to play for the cheetahs and when he was there they were doing fine... but he said he moved to england because things went down hill...

A lot of people are saying that they find this year's Super 14 boring. I'm enjoying it a lot though. Even with my team not doing that well.

I knew the Sharks would be good but the Bulls really surprised me. If they win against the Highlanders this weekend then they should surely make the semi-finals in the end.

Ugh now the Stormers must just play as well as they did against the Lions.

Sadly , I am a Cheetahs supporter ::( It disgusts me how they dont know what to do anymore, although they NEVER do good in Super 14, their Currie Cup campaign always goes very well.

Its crap that they have lost 15 in a row, and honestly I dont know when they will win a game again, they are pathetic... so for the time being Sharks FTW! (Bulls can go .... off :D)

well I do feel more the the cheetahs supporters as they have to feel the shame when their team loses in almost everygame.....

hehehehehehe.... i love that saying when people are against the Bulls!!!

Same here. They had some really close games out of the first 4. The 3 they lost were all within 7, so they got bonus points.
They could have had the Sharks if they didn't let it slip in the last 20.
We left it too late against the Bulls too, but anyway, you have to play the whole 80 min, not just 40 or even 60.

The last game they played before the break, they were playing much better, not as much 50-50 passes and less forced errors overall.

I am seeing good things for the Bulls the way they are playing. I'm a big Pierre Spies fan, that guy is vaaking awesome!
Sharks is ok, but they can play much better.
The Stormers are packed with quality, but they need to get it together on the field.
Cheetahs and Lions are sad :( sad :( sad :(
