The beginner's guide to gaming PC components

Do I detect a little bias towards Intel on the CPU, though not on the GFX card....

EDIT: Also, regarding the "8GB is enough" quote. Just cause 3 is the first game that tells me, everytime I start up, that my 8GB isn't enough and the game will suffer.

It's interesting that the game warns users with 8GB of RAM, as most evidence shows no notable performance decline from having only 8GB of memory.

You should check if there is actually a performance deficit when only using 8GB of memory, it would be interesting to see. :)

I've only got 8GB in my personal PC and have encountered no problems on any new games.

Here's a screenshot of the message. Have no problem playing the game at max settings. FPS could be better, 30fps, but smooth over all... Only thing that works for getting fps up, is dropping the resolution.

Thanks, that's really interesting!

It does seem to be the exception to the rule though, and must be due to poor optimisation or something, a game idling at 11.3GB of RAM usage doesn't seem right to me :wtf:
