Hey guys, I want to know what really is the best gaming mouse out there, please give suggestions on what you think and why.

Some of my own thoughts are: Logitech G9X, Sidewinder X8, Razer Mamba or the Rat9 or 7

Im looking at buying one of them but I want to make absolutely sure as the price tags are a bit heavy.

I have the G5 and had the G9x, personally way prefer the G5. The G9x is pretty small and flat so if you have big hands forget it.

Other than that it is still a good mouse.

I would look at the G500 also.

This is a subjective question and answer. You need to maybe ask for suggestions and then try and test each mouse yourself. Just because someone likes the Logitech, doesn't mean it will suit you and so on and so forth.

You already seem to have quite a nice list of mouses there, so my advice is to try and test each of those first hand and then decide.

The problem is where? Can you maybe suggest some places to try them? (BTW Im in PTA)

The X8 is Bulky, not heavy mind you , but fairly big
I presonally prefer the Roccat Kone or the Razer Copperhead, but as Densweep said, we always give the same advice, go to shops with demo units, go to LAN's and ask friends to play with their mice.
You would have to test each prospective mouse you are listing as a possibility, without knowing how they fit your hand and your specific grip type it is very hard deciding on any type of mouse

Any info for the Microsoft X8? any advice from anyone that has it... maybe...

Love it! My decision what based purely on the size of the mouse and the fact I was after a wireless rodent. At the time the two choices were the X8 and the Mamba. The mamba felt too small in my hands, so the obvious choice was the X8 and Im not disappointed in the slightest.

Hope this helps you :)

Phone the more gaming orientated shops and see if they have demo stock. Give www.computersonly.co.za or www.zaps.co.za a buzz. CO is in Midrand and Zaps in Randburg I think.

Or try your mates and see if any of them have one you can test drive. ANd if none of them have any of these, get better friends with more money! :p:wtf::p:wtf:

Hey guys

I need feedback from the guys that own Razer Mambas. I'm very keen on getting one and need to know if it is worth that amount of cash. I currently own two mice.
1. Logitech MX518 (favourite mouse of all time). This is the second one I bought as the first one had a freak accident whereby the cable meted during a game of Battlefield. I find this mouse very comfortable but the issues I have is that the sensitivity is either too high or too low. And the sensitivity buttons are not responding very well, they actually get stuck when it's pressed in.

2. steelseries Ikari Laser mouse. Great mouse, glides across the mat and has great sesitivity options. Issues I have with it is that I find it quite long and I normally play with a claw grip so this mouse makes it difficult to look around in a game.

So I would really appreciate any feedback from you guys regarding a Mamba.

A really subjective question. Whether you're right or left handed, small hands or large hands, etc. Personally I'm in love with my Razor Diamondback and wouldn't trade it for anything. I suppose Logitech is also worth a look. I can't say too much about the other brands though.

I have been using the G9x for some time now, and so far it's been quite solid ;)

If you use a claw grip, then the G9/x is a very very good choice for you. I'm still unconvinced by the Razer mice, but perhaps they just don't suit the shape of my hand. The G9, on the other hand, is a superb mouse. Been using it for more than 3 years now. I've had the MS X8, the Steelseries Ikari and the G5, but I always end up going back to the G9 to game with.

Regarding the X8 in particular - the mouse is seriously big. I don't have particularly small hands, but I really struggled to use the X8. Got sick of trying to use it after a month and sold it. So yeah, if you have big hands, it's probably an awesome mouse. If you don't though, then steer clear...

I've been using the steelseries mouse for more than a year now and it's awesome. best mouse ever. check it out and see if you like it. I really don't like Razer cause of the shape. Also I don't like the shape of the G9x.

Have one as well and love it to, but it is to "slow" for me now and old. So, looking at the G700 now. Cheap @ R883. :)
