I had 28 at one stage. Some of the new ones coming out isn't as nice. And they brought out a 2nd edition of some, which I feel devalues some of the 1st edition statues. My Frank Miller B&W is worth quite a bit, but I keep getting guys offering me almost next to nothing with either a link for the new 2nd edition, or an outdated website with the 1st edition on it, with the initial cost. They somehow then miss the bold red "out of stock" or "sold out" marker...
oh and yeah, got them all at Cosmic.

What are you going to do with the newer statues that comes out this year for Black & White?

I haven't checked them out in ages, but will take a look. If something nice catches my eye I guess I can always put in an order with Shane them.
Oh, and the 2nd and 3rd chess piece of the JLA set has just arrive. # 2 is Wonder Woman and # 3 is Green Lantern. WW came with a fold up chess board. Seems a bit cheap if you compare it to the Batman chess board.

Wanted to start that, but I have most of those in their own graphic novels. Nice way to start a collection though, basically a best of the best.

Yeah, I picked up issue 40 today. So 20 left, then I have all of them.

Must show us sometime. Takes forever to get the complete set, and I think only a few people ever do.
Works out a pretty penny in the end, but to each his own I guess. People sometime laugh at me when they hear what some of this stuff costs, saying I'm crazy (probably am). But then they try and justify spending huge amounts on their interests and hobbies.

Yeah, it's R109,95 x 60 - (R70,05 - R30,05) = R6496.90 over 2.5 years. So it isn't that bad, considering that you're getting two graphic novels a month. I'll take a picture when it is more complete.

i'm still contemplating about the novels but i first want to finish my chess sets and then want to continue on the normal DC collection and get that up to date. then i might do the novels but space is starting to become an issue

Jeez that's awesome. That Powergirl looks awesome, proper pencil shading is always so cool to look at. I had a commission done by Chris Beukes at rAge last year of this "street warrior" Batman. Check it out. I think this is pretty cool.

I have one (also of Batman) done by Ethan van Sciver way back when he was here. Will make an effort to get a pic of it. The face was done awesome but I feel he rushed the bust bit a bit. Ah well, still one of a kind Edit : That Batman of yours has a Gangbuster vibe to it.
