Ah damn, the two pics you post of the MK cards and you show me the two cards I need to complete mine! # 9 Kano and Lui Kang Gold warrior card!

Let me know which ones you are short though, I have plenty of doubles for this set.

Edit : I've never seen the B&H cards, but a few persons have asked me if I have some of them.

Well, one down, one to go then :) Thanks man, and let me know, got 3 sets, main one missing the two, and the other two are probably 70% complete.

Edit : Your spiderman set, you have any clearchrome cards (doubles)? Basically just missing those to complete mine. And signed variants.

Tom, dude, you need to stay here after the comp ends, even if just for the collectables and comics thread.
 
you guys are making me miss my cards now :( and there are no decent sets to start with now atm damn it i hate getting older and responsible :P

I'll post pics of the 007 cars tomorrow can't wake my son now with a flashing camera

Can always look in eBay for complete base sets, or even complete full sets. Some can be expensive, but most base sets are actually quite cheap. I got a sealed box of Mortal Kombat cards on Bid or Buy for like R119. Basically got a full set and 2 other semi-full sets. Think that seller still has a few sealed boxes and that is local. The eBay route can cost a bit more, and then there is customs as well.

Im not going anywhere Avenged! I used to be a regular on the War3.co.za server, but it sort of died a slow and painful death... And iv actually been looking for a forum like this for a while ;)

Good to know. There are only a few of us who are keeping the comic book / collectable side of the forum going, so adding new people to those is always pretty cool.

I can remember it like it was yesterday, saving up enough money to go buy a pack of cards, and hoping like all hell that i got something i didn't already have... Wonder why the card scene died down so much... What do the kids of today collect? If anything?

There is actually still quite a few recent sets going around, but most of them don't appeal to me like the older sets. Sadly they seem to be released overseas only. You can get via ebay though, complete sets, separate cards and even sealed boxes. I prefer getting them sealed, I want that "lucky packet" feeling hehe.

Nothing beats that lucky packet feeling... Jeez i would have been the happiest kid alive if someone gave me a whole Box of sealed trading cards... They weren't cheap back then... Cant remember what a pack cost but i think you got like 8 cards in a pack...

Depends on the set, and then region wise you even got different packets. The Marvel Masterpieces 1996 set will set you back R1200. For a packet of 6 cards. Sets like the Mortal Kombat Movie one didn't go that much up in price, but you can get the sealed boxes for cheap. I still want to get the earlier Batman movie cards on eBay. A sealed box is like $8 or something.
