British tabloid the Daily Mail has highlighted the dangers of Nintendo's pet sim Nintendogs, following an animal attack on a 9-year-old girl. ​

Megan Walker was mauled by Saracen, a bull mastiff, while playing the game at a friend's house. The dog dragged Megan from the sofa and sank its teeth into the girl's face, removing her lip. ​

The Daily Mail attributes the attack to the sounds of barking emanating from Megan's DS "game station" during a bout of Nintendogs. ​

The girl's grandmother, Jean Taylor, told the paper, "I think this game should carry some kind of warning. People should be told not to play it when there are dogs in the room. I blame the game for what happened to Megan. If they hadn't been playing it I don't think the dog would have gone for her." ​

The Daily Mail concludes that the friend's mother was unavailable for comment, but "it is understood that she told police that Megan may have kicked Saracen and that is why he attacked her". ​

Doctors managed to re-attach Megan's lip following the attack and the dog was later destroyed.​

LOL @ "I think this game should carry some kind of warning." Its a FUCKING pet sim. A pet sim for pete's sake. Whats next warn people not to invite their parents over for dinner with their digital girlfriend?

I weep for the species.

they mean put down, but put down sounds too kind for a vicious child mauling dog so the use destroyed.
 
Uhmmmm.... Yeah! And GTA Made me steal cars and Just Cause made me jump off buildings and my wife attacked me when I played Sims!.... How can they blame the game for the dog attacking the girl... makes no sense at all.
 
Sounds like a vicious unpredictable dog, and they're looking for an excuse not to be liable for mauling this child.
 
Guys, this is from a TABLOID. Unless you're looking for aliens and according to Agent K is the most reliable source of investigative journalism - this article is more than likely a sham.
 
Sounds like a stupid child. Leave the dog out of it. They should destroy the child rather. I don't understand why they need to put the animal down after such an incident. They don't put down drunken drivers who kill people, or idiots that shoot schools or whatever. Leave the poor dog. The kid sounds like she kicked the dog and the dog retaliated. Can't say I wouldn't have done the same.

A gazilion hours of shooting ppl in the head in all the COD games, UT series games, Manhunt, Condemned, Resident evil, Silent Hill, Doom................. and still no murders comitted. Wierd, must be something wrong with me :|
