Tom Clancy’s The Division will be out in early March and judging from the strong response that the betas have received, Ubisoft has high expectations. During the publisher’s Investor Day presentation (via GameSpot), managing director John Parkes said that the MMORPG/shooter has the chance to be one of the biggest new IP launches ever, beating current title holders Destiny and Watch Dogs.

“Because of its many attributes – RPG, shooter, massive online multiplayer, realistic setting in a beautifully recreated New York, great open world playable in solo or in co-op–The Division can become one of the biggest launches ever for a new IP.”

Parkes also reported how the closed beta witnessed more registrations than any title in the company’s history and that the actual number of beta players is three times higher than Ubisoft had expected.

The Division is out on March 8th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The open beta is currently live for Xbox One, PS4 and PC and will conclude on February 21st.

I tend to disagree, thought the game is great and the crowds and players are amazing. But just like Destiny, what will the end game offer? I can't see the end game being much different than that of something like Destiny, this is when the numbers will start dropping. Of course this is my speculation, as we don't actually know what, if anything, their end-game has to offer.

I just wish they'd made a story-focused campaign too. I've just never caught onto the multiplayer time-swallowing kinda games but I really love the setting of this. I lose interest very quickly without a story to keep me interested.

The campaign is very story focused from what I can tell, and a lot in the world to make or help you piece it together. There are even in engine cut scenes to add to it, albeit they're not skippable.

Oh ok not sure how I missed that, but that is good to hear. In that case, I might just check it out, although I think I'll wait for a price drop.

The world is extremely detailed and full of information, really great to explore. I love environmental explorations and world's where devs have taken such care to place little things all around and create a world which tells a story just by it's environment.

Unskippable cut-scenes? FFFFS! It's goddamn 2016
"Press [Button/Key] to skip" should be a right to players. And also, none of that:

"But, you can pau--"
"STFU - this is 2016 - "Skip cinematic" should be available" especially if it has to be repeated.

/rant over, I think...
