The Division Thread

8 gig download, eina!

If this new mode allows you to exit and come back at a later stage I will definitely give it a go. If not, then bleh.

For that price I think it's worth it. I paid R600 and spent around 130 hours in game, this was before 1.4 patch which has since made things a lot better for the solo player experience. But that's just my 2c.

Is it necessary to get DLC to enjoy the game? Dont want to buy the game, then realise something is locked behind a DLC or season pass.

I think you can enjoy the game with out getting any DLC. As far as I know its only the new Survival mode that you would really miss out on it you just buying the base game.

Played it. It is really good and would appeal to many. I would love to play it more but it has 2 downsides:

1. You have to wait in a queue to get into a game, the game will not start unless it finds 11 other people to put you with.
2. You cannot leave and come back later. For a family man, finding 2 hours where no one is going to bother me from the moment I get into a game until I die, is very, very hard. I had to quit games more than I died in them, which frustrated me.

Other than those 2, the idea is solid, the execution is amazing. I just wish I could play it single player on my own terms.

Yeah, I can see that being a deal breaker. Don't think I'll be buying any more into The Division at this point.
 
The 1.6 update looks kinda interesting. The Last Stand DLC will be more PvP focused.

The DZ is being extended. DZ 7, 8 and 9 and is focused more on PvE. Looks like the DZ has almost doubled in size.

How can the DZ be more PVE focused when anyone can shoot anyone?
