Really hope they can do this.

Or just ask for Australian dollar, what servers are the aussies playing on ? EU or US? I think Zenimax will probably give you grief because you play on EU server, insinuating you fall under europe, but if the aussies also play there then we have a valid case to request a "southern hemisphere" currency :)

Most aussie gamers always play on the NA servers as it offers better latency for them.

Greetings and Blessings from across Tamriel, brave adventurer!

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team!

Players in Euro-Zone countries who wish to purchase a copy of the game, or to add a subscription to their account, will be billed in Euros.

It is not possible for players in Euro-Zone countries to pay in US Dollars nor is it possible for US players to pay in Euros.

So i'll guess paying in Euro it is then..

I must admit I'm having the opposite reaction to Shrike. I'm not a huge general Elder Scrolls fan, but I though the MMO nature of the game would win me over. In fact it has, I feel likes it's a decent hybridization of the two genres. I sort of like the shared chests etc. It makes finding one special and sometimes it means you have to be on the ball lockpick wise.

Combat is fun and the latency feels pretty good, except on Friday. Since then it's been fine. It actually feels a little old school. I'm pretty sure I'll love the old school nature of Wildstar too, but I haven't enjoyed an MMO like this in quite some time. Treasure hunts are also great!

One thing I did notice that at the start there are a lot of "telephone relay" quests where you just have to go talk to people.

Today I was exploring, found a chest hidden under a hollow tree, yeay, exploring pays off! I tried to open it and it tells me, someone is using it already. I looked around, nope, not a soul around and sure enough, the chest opened and vanished. Yeay for phasing.

Another tale: today I ran a dungeon, as usual, I don't even bother with going for chests, but others did while I stood around, tap tap tap.
Next dungeon I decided, bugger this, I will get in on the action and barely at the end of fights I would pop a regen heal and make a beeline for a chest. The group then decided, no, its ok, they will go on to the next fight, whipe and blame the healer (me), I was off opening that chest.

Another tale. In the above run I picked up a cool 2handed axe from a boss, I got no use for it so I ask in group: "Who wants this axe I found in that fight?" Tank wants it, so I give it to him. (Yes, if you didnt know already, there are no roll on loots from any fight at all, people just get random stuff in their inventory, no notification to anyone.)
Fast foward to the last boss, we finish it and I ask: "So, anyone get anything I can use?" Two people in the group were nice enough to say: "Go check out a trader guild AH for an item and stop QQing."

/facepalm

/sigh

My early impressions and experiences with healing:

Breton templar, all light armour, passives for regen and spell cost reduction. Basically every fight: drop staff circle, hit staff regen heal, drop fighters guild protection circle, top up with templar heal. Spam heavy hit from staff on anything that moves to get mana back. Rinse and repeat.

Done the level 15 and level 25 dungeons this way, no problems at all. Of course the real trick is to make sure you put your circles where they are needed tactically and to avoid anything nasty.

Interesting to note that I ran the Grahtwood dungeon totally lagged out. The server was going crazy, I could only see one party member on screen and the other health bars were gone. Could only see mobs AFTER they died, thankfully the damage telegraphs on the floor were visible normally. I had NO problems with this dungeon, I just watched the one member, when he started looking like he was fighting stuff, then I would go through the above rotation, not knowing who was taking damage at all, and it worked. Go go go non targetted healing!

I am aiming at getting the negative effect removal (templar heal line level 30) as soon as I can, since not only is it a great thing to use but with a passive, all healing done to people in its area is increased by 30%. There are many other heals available but have just not found the need for them yet.

This is just one way of doing it, I am sure someone else will come up with a more shielded type of healing, since the staff line offers up 2 shields.

There we go,templar (HOT) (heal over time) healing summarised. With only 5 skills available, I can see that only some morphs will change for later dungeons, I can see that you will be swapping out some skills for some bosses, but after 20 it seems that you are set for healing skills.

It reminds me a lot of healing in The Secret World, claws based healing anyways.

@Shrike

It's funny you mention the guys calling you out for QQing in the dungeon. I did my first dungeon yesterday (playing Templar Healer) and at one point during the dungeon one guy in our group wanted to trade with me, turns out he just picked up an awesome healing staff and just gave it to me. :)

+1 for positive dungeon experience in ESO.

But you can have another resto staff as your 2nd weapon, so technically you can have all that plus a shielding build too.

Lovely! Yes it can happen ;-) Hopefully it will happen more and more. I just so wish you could run dungeons with guild mates in other factions. As it is, if you want a guild experience other than a chat room, you have to ensure that your characters are all on the same faction.

Agreed! I just don't see any reason to do it yet though since what I have seems sufficient. On the other hand, maybe the morphs of the shield skills are worth getting into for situational bosses, I will need to look into that.

Ergh, I posted all this in the wrong thread, someone should close the beta thread to posts and move my posts about this and replies to the live version of the thread. Unless you think that ESO is still in beta, which some would think it is.
