That does suck, hopefully it will die down soon.

On a lighter note, I asked Jacob at Deltia's if he's planning on making a 1.6 pure DK tank s/s build , and he's planning on it in about 3 week's time.
 
Anyone perhaps know what can be wrong with the launcher when downloading the game.. each time i reach full download of 30GB it restarts the download over and over.. and this is now the second PC which is doing this on two diffrent networks.

I have uninstalled everything ESO related even re-installed it and it just don't want to fully download and give me the play button.

I had issues like that with the old client, i did this:

Deleting version files & Repairing (Windows)

Locate the "\The Elder Scrolls Online" or "\The Elder Scrolls Online EU" directory.
By default, located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online EU"
Expand the Game Options
If the menu reads, Updating…. Click Cancel.
If the menu reads, Installing…. Restart the launcher. Upon restart the menu should read Updating… (or Update if auto-updates are turned off). Click Cancel if applicable.
Locate the Depot folder. Within that folder, locate and delete the "depot.version" file.
Locate the Game folder. Within that folder, locate and delete the game_player.version file.
If applicable, locate the VO_EN folder. Within that folder, locate and delete the vo_en.version file.
If applicable, locate the VO_FR folder. Within that folder, locate and delete the vo_fr.version file.
If applicable, locate the VO_DE folder. Within that folder, locate and delete the vo_de.version file.
Restart the computer.
Open the game launcher.
In the game options menu click Repair
If the game disappeared and does not show up as installed before you could click repair:
Click install.
Once data starts downloading, restart the launcher.
Expand the game option, it should say Updating…, click Cancel.
Click Repair.

I deleted those files in bold (or just move them somewhere ) and a repair later it would get working.

You might also have to consider getting those 3 files somewhere online, i don't have the client atm, but i see i have a folder called "ESO_Fix" with those 3 files in it, so clearly it did something hehe.

Also the "restart the computer" steps, meh, i don't recall having to do that, but i do remember i also downloading that freaking client multiple times and those 3 files was causing it.

Thank you diabolus, i will try this and see as re-downloading 30GB each time is not cool at all :)
 
So I logged in a couple of days ago to check out what changed (waiting for friends before I continue playing) and man has a lot changed. Weapon swapping is instant now even mid skill animation, this was my biggest gripe with the combat so it feels a lot more responsive to play now.

I took me a while to sort through the skill changes but they all seems to have been greatly improved in terms of the morph options. Looking forward to giving this a real bash this weekend. :D

Yep, 1.6 has brought a lot of changes and things are looking good. Now they just need to do some fixes regarding xp in Craglorn, dungeons and pvp.

There is a incoming fix for xp in pvp coming next week it seems. The changes sounds great.
 
We have a couple of South Africans in an AD guild called Storm Guides, members are from all over though. I have them as my main guild, the rest are mostly trading guilds.

Figured i would give it a shot again. Took only 2 days to download 18gb. Glad they made the pets account bound. Claimed my monkey on the wrong character when i first started playing.

Before 1.6 you could "bank" your pet and use it on any other of your alts. The same with bound gear, you can bank it and use it on another alt.

Cool i thought it's was character bound. At least it's easier now.


For some reason I'm enjoying the game much more this time round. Rolled a Breton sorcerer and kinda got into research and crafting at the moment.
 
The game has improved a lot, everything just seems as it should have been at launch. Loving it, staying in during the Easter holidays for this :p
 
So I have downloaded the game and will jump in tonight!

Really looking forward to seeing what has changed.

Any thoughts so far since it went B2P?
 
Pros
Animations are nicer.
I'm enjoying more than previously.

Cons
Frequent CTD's and Freezes.
UI is horrendous. Made it better with some mods.
Guild shopping is a pain in the arse. Why no guild finder?
 
Does any1 know of a site that will explain all the changes and how they impact a returning player?

I logged on, got a ton of achievements and I see there is a champion system now. I think ill be starting a new toon just to get to understand all these changes.
 
Got ESO plus and then used the crowns combined with the 600 i already had to upgrade to Imperial edition. Gonna roll me an Imp tonight.
