A really good video by Sterling. It touches on a very good point, and that is that it's okay to criticize. People on gaming forums seem to have lost the plot a bit and demonize anyone who criticizes some of their favorite videogames.

We don't criticize because we hate videogames, we criticize because we love them.

So, I'll take this moment to say;

- Bioware gave ME3 a shit ending to draw attention away from the fact that the game was Gears of War with some talky bits.
- I didn't bother finishing Diablo 3, and never will, because it's a boring game that is not the definition of what 10 years of development should look like. More like two years.
- The Assassin's Creed series became stale when I realised every game has me doing the exact same things I did in the previous game, just with new talky bits.

Developers don't seem bothered by this criticism, or at least, they don't show it.

Many games repeat the cycle of making a new game with tiny little tidbit changes. You'll get the same game in the end, but with a splash or hint of something different.

Many game Devs simply just add extras (particularly those older games), sell the game at its predecessors price, an have the money rolling in.
