Nice to see some of the mid-pack and newer teams topping both those lists. Kimi did well as well, considering he only ran in the afternoon with the Ferrari in the pit all morning. Lap counts for everyone again showing strong reliability - even Button in the Macca did more than a full race distance (although that info doesn't match with the report in Ted's video, who reports hydraulic issues for the McL kept them off the circuit for much of the afternoon?) Another 160+ laps for the Merc with both Rosberg and Hamilton doing half the day each.

Oh, and Ted's Notebook for Test Day 3:
(Interesting chat with Pat Symonds about new qualifying proposals, and other changes and suggestions, near the start of video.)

Sorry F1 fans, completely forgot to post the timesheets and stuff from yesterday.

Here then are the Test 1, Day 4 Timesheet and Lap Counts:

An absolutely miserable day for Alonso. Ferrari top of the times for third out of four days. The teams have the weekend to analyse, tweak, and fix, and then it's back to Spain for the 2nd (and last) 4-day pre-season test session from Tuesday next week.

Start of the 2nd (and final) week of F1 testing today. Toro Rosso started the day by officially unveiling the race livery for their STR011.

Interesting scene this morning as Kimi Raikkonen did a single installation lap carrying a proposed "halo" head protection bar on the Ferrari. The system is being tested by the FIA at the moment, with the aim of introducing something like it from 2017.

Martin Brundle's verdict on the first pics of the Halo: "That looks even worse than I feared, in several respects."

i can see how all the teams will end up using this more for downforce than protection.

That looks like something that would block your view and be really annoying. I can only imagine having a bar down my cars' window right in front of my face.

looks fucking stupid!

Now THIS is the future
