bwahahaha great minds

This season's F1 cars area looking really pretty, damn.

If they can just do something about the engines (specifically how they sound) then that would be great. They should allow higher RPM motors again.

Test 1, Day 1 Times:

Merc and HAM pickup from last year, but worth noting that VETs P2 time was set on Mediums, all the others from P1 - P7 were set on Softs.

McLaren having a better day today than yesterday it seems. Vandoorn's MCL32 sounding very healthy down the main straight:

Here's the times and lap counts from Test Day #2 :

A decent day for Kimi and Lewis again.

And the combined aggregate times and lap counts so far:

Solid numbers for KMag and Haas, a poor day for Williams debutante Stroll, Bottas seriously underperforming (or are Merc sandbagging with him a little?) and as DJT might say "McLaren and Sauber, SAD!"

I suspect they are sandbagging a lot. Plus I suspect Botta's is doing different tire tests and so forth.

And the aggregate times and total lap counts from the 3 days combined.

I think today, the final day of Test 1, has been set aside for testing the new wet weather tyres. So that 1:19.705 of Valtteri's will probably stand as the fastest for this Test. By comparison, the fastest time in testing last year was Kimi's Ferrari time of 1:22.765. We're already 3 seconds faster than last year. And there's still 4 days of testing to come next week... [emoji2]

Nice to see Renault, Sauber and Haas in the top 10. I know it's early days still, but hopefully the smaller teams can maintain a bit of a challenge on the mid-field this year.

Time sheets from yesterday's final day of Test 1, and the cumulative 4 day aggregate:

LewLew said the night before that he wasn't too keen on wasting his time on wet weather tyre testing so may "fake an injury". Merc then had a strange "electrical fault" that kept their car in the garage until 15 minutes before the lunch break, at which point Bottas brought it out and ran flawlessly for the rest of the day.

A good Test all round for Ferrari (but remember they also tested well last year...), good to see Renault sticking in the top half of Test times, disastrous Test for Stroll, but it's clear that Merc is just carrying on from last season once again.

Second (and final) Test underway in Barcelona. Here's the combined times and lap counts after 2 days:

Bottas posted the fasted time of the year so far. Massa was solid for Williams, clocking up an immense number of laps and an excellent time as well - not bad for an ex-retired driver! Renault and Sauber sadly not able to maintain their positive form from last week. And the less said about McLaren and their Honda engine troubles the better...

The difference that both the new aero, engine and tyre regulations and the new ownership of the F1 brand are having this year is huge.

3.3 seconds faster in testing versus the GP pole time from 2016. AND quality onboard footage from an F1 car during a test session, posted within hours by the official F1 channel.

It's an age of miracles and wonders I tell you!

That is quite impressive. 3.3s is massive.

Have you ever watched one of the SpaceX Falcon 9 launches live? You're getting a live, 1080p video feed from a rocket (which vibrates like all hell) from space! And they have multiple angles as well.

Did you see the new force india colours..
Yip. I've seen it being called "radical", "vibrant", "startling" even. First adjective that came to my mind though was "kak". But that's just me I guess. [emoji52]

I assume it's got something to do with their new sponsor BWT.
The Best Water Technology Group (BWT) is Europe‘s leading water technology company. BWT provides state-of-the-art water treatment technologies and services for drinking water, pharmaceutical water, process water, heating water, boiler water, cooling water, water for air-conditioning systems and water for swimming pools.
With all that talk about water, I would have guessed blue long before I'd guess pink.
