Looks like the full version of Crysis 2 (though a beta build from developers) has been leaked to torrents. The build contains the entire single player campaign of the game, apparently. However, it's in debug mode and not the final build of the game. It's currently unknown how this build got onto the net but its always sad when something like this happens as it is bound to not only affect sales of the game itself but also cause publisher to try to create more complex DRM set ups that will just upset legit consumers. Crysis 2 is set to ship on PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 in March 2011.

What a way to ruin a perfectly good game. I mean pirating is bad, but beta pirating is just dumb to a hole new next level.

I hope they don't delay it again.
 
Oh my this is really going to hit their sales hard. After all those playing the beta now would have bought the finished product....

But stupid to download a game that is in debug mode lol.

fools are the ones who download it.

@alan. Some pirates do buy the game even if they have played and finished it.
 
Ugh. Hate pirates... I don't mind thouse that hack the game to make it better or a better word mod while making you need the original game but regardless I have stopped pirating games a while ago. The devs deserve it as well as it just is easier bc it works better and steam transfers it to new computers too :)
 
Any one Dumb enough to waste 9GB of bandwidth on an unfinished product are just plain stupid. Especially a game as epic as this deserves to be played in full Dx11 with graphics on full :D

you two need to think outside just the gaming box.

not good to have a leak of this kind at all for example the copy protection now is moot and would have to be re-done. not to mention the fact that your tools is out there and maybe even the dll's can be reversed to get the code, especially if it's in visual c. then there's the question of other exposed assets...


still little sympathy, because how many has managed not to get their IP leaked.

sorry im referring to killzone3 which was also released prior to the launch and im saying all those people that argue that JB allows them to run homebrew and linux and now they can install the leaked killzone

Beta is shit.

Missing sound files, sounds ain't mixed properly. Good thing I didn't waste MY cap, I have a slave to do it for me :)
