Ooooh Im super keen for S.o.M. I'm a huge Tolkien slut! The Silmarillion remains my favourite book ever.
I dont think Beo will sell me the game cheap enough to cover courier costs to where I am, so I'll just get it here. :p

I have the Last of Us, so I'll give it a go, but really keen to play Dragon Age first...is it like Skyrim or more like the originals?

What did you guys think of Destiny? I havent seen reviews yet, just heard its name pop up a few times.
 
All I can tell you about Destiny is the fact that most people who baught it, played it for a short period and then stopped completely.

One of the best quotes I read in a review went something like this, "Destiny is a terrible game, but I can't stop playing."

It's made by Bungie, and if anything, their name was good enough to warrant their followers buying the game. It was massively over hyped and a huge disappointment. That being said however, the game is fantastically done. The gameplay is smooth and solid gunplay. The music score is astounding, that goes with the graphics and art style too.

If you've played and/or enjoyed Borderlands, you'll love it. There were a few issues with loot drops but this has all been patched. The lastest DLC has just dropped so might put more time in it this holiday season.

My thoughts; I would give it a rating of 8/10 - if that's anything to go by
 
Any body with a ps4 should give Resogun a go and Driveclub is the best looking game I have seen on any platform period.I also agree with Beotek assesment of Destiny it is how I feel about the game.8\10.

That's just the strangest thing.

I've never seen a single advertisement for Driveclub and the box art made it look as cheap as Project Gotham Racing or Sega Rally...yet when I started it, it felt remarkably cool to get into. A literal example of judging a game by its cover.

Multiplayer in Destiny is 100% rock solid, I just struggle to find teams for strikes :/

Your PS+ subs carry over across multiple platforms, no need. But yes, you will need PS+ to play online/multiplayer (in most situations).
 
Holy crapballs! Driveclubs patch with the weather gave me a semi!

Driving in rain was hectic but the norwegian track with snow felt friggen exactly like it is driving here! Which is cool because today I'm going skid pad training for my drivers license ! :D

Dare I say that I'm enjoying this game more than forza...

You know, no disrespect to you or anything and I completely understand why you would be sad that there is still no PS+ version.

I kinda feel Drivclub should have a chance to have their review rating reviewed now that a lot of the original mechanics are implemented and working. Driveclub has been tarnished badly by critics and reviewers and even by so many people on the interwebs. Yet the fascinating part is, it was majority coming from people that hadn't bought or owned the game and seen how spectacular it is, people that were/are only waiting for the "free" version.
Take a look at their Facebook page and see the updates they kept us in the loop and continually informed us of what was going on, and you'll see all the people with negative responses are the ones that are holding out for the free version. If they only knew how good this game was from day-one release and it has only gotten better now that everything is working properly.
 
I agree Beotek it is a damn shame that Driveclub has this reputation as being a bad game but really it just had a bad launch.Once the Ps+ version drops people willl be able to see for themselves how great it is and then all those daft reviews wont matter.

Yeah I totally understand, but the game was supposed to come out around the PS4 release.
It was delayed almost a year and released unfinished. So the reviews reflect the product at the time of release.

True, and I accept that. But then there's games like GTA5 which released without online and they still reviewed as a SP (offline) game. Or you have critcs like Polygon IIRC that reviewed the game, then revisited the review to worsen the score based on certain faetures not working. Surely critics can revisit a review score if things change for the game back to what they promised.

Not trying to start a flame or a debate or anything, just a simple point of view and/or opinion.

Lets take a look at other high profile games that launched with broken elements of the game they seem to be given a free pass.Gta5's online was broken for weeks yet it score remained the same even the new Halo collection is riddled with bugs and broken online and no deduction in its scores.Gaming websites need to be consistant and not turn a blind eye.
