The Google Talk app will die on 16 February

Google is sending out messages to users of the Windows Google Talk desktop app that its services will be ending on 16 February 2015. [sauce]

Only thing I use Google+ for is my photo backups for my phone.

gTalk was good but with WhatsApp I rarely used it. That and Skype ofc, but now with the web interface for WhatsApp and soon voice calling... I just hope they don't go nuts and kill the experience with adds and pay services.

Google + is like LinkedIn. You have an active account even though you did not sign up for one or ever touch the damn thing!

I enjoyed using google talk, hangouts is similar but for some reason you don't always get your messages.

so i will probably just use the desktop watsapp app from now on.

I thought Gtalk was phased out long ago, been using Hangouts for quite a few months now.
