The hardest games I've ever played

Games that I found very hard to play as well was Spelunky and Hotline Miami.

In Spelunky, it wasn't until a month after I started playing it that I reached level 4. If you lost all your hearts, that's it, you have to start from the beginning again. And then the levels are all procedurally generated, so each play-through was different. Hecticly difficult, but super fun

In Hotline Miami I died a googol amount of times on each level. You have to be super fast, super accurate and plan well ahead to actually finish the levels. I've rage quitted many times from the game.

Dark Souls for me was a good kind of hard. I kept wanting to progress and I enjoyed it a lot.

Super Meat Boy was just frustratingly hard. I did not like it at all.

Osmos was so difficult that at some stage that the developer changed it to make it easier. Unfortunately he did that after I played it because I just couldn't finish that last level.

Yeah I loved Hotline Miami, can't wait for the sequel.

Dark Souls II obviously comes to mind as well.

Haven't played it but I thought the consensus was that Dwarf Fortress is by far the hardest...or rather has the hardest learning curve.

Dark souls 2 was hard but not impossible. I have played some impossible games of my time but for the life of me I can't think of any right now.

I suppose battle toads would be one of them.

Dark Souls was "The hardest game I've ever played (well...one of them)

But, once you figure out what you're supposed to do, and how, (after arduous trials-and-errors), it becomes easier; not easy - EASIER.
