Modern Warfare 3 opens as Modern Warfare 2 closed: The United States under siege by Russian forces, ultranationalist Vladimir Makarov on the loose, Captain John “Soap” MacTavish and Captain John Price wounded and on the run with the Russian informant known as Nikolai.

Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer and Spec Ops details have been leaked according to Kotaku.

Multiplayer will feature 20 maps, though we expect some of them to be DLC maps and there will be two types of Spec Ops: Survival and Mission.

Spec Ops will feature a combination of mission-based level and survival maps which pit players against difficult wave of enemies such as zombies.

Multiplayer maps:

Alpha, Alps, Bootleg, Bravo, Brooklyn, Carbon, Coast, Dome, Exchange, Hardhat, Interchange, Lambeth, Meteora, Mogadishu, Paris, Plaza 2, Radar, Seatown, Underground, Village

Well that sounds awesome! I cannot wait either, no other war fps grabs me like MW. Im looking forward to whats gonna happen with the story, not that its usually the big attraction. And I hope the psn will be working perfectly by the time its released.
 
I won't buy this game!

That being said I probably will play it. Just so I can bitch at myself for a wasting precious 2 hours on the story and have something nasty to call Activizzard and Bobby KoDICK.

Won't be getting this. I might pirate this game to play the campaign :P Sies! I know, but I'll probably only play the first few missions and then quit to go play some BF3 online. Haha

I did play it.. or at least tried too.. if I was not getting lag, getting kicked for space to clan members when the server was full I was waiting for a HC server to open up and even when I actually got to play I was getting killed through walls with my ghost class from hackers...

There were so many issues with lag in BLOPS it was a EPIC FAIL in my opinion..

I should edit my post and say I wont bother getting the game until SA can offer higher line speeds for decent prices, but then again my friend had all the same problems even with a 4 mg line!! So ja...

BLOPS has its issues but lag was never one of them for me. Who is your ISP?

I was with MWEB at the time and I changed over to Axxess with still change! And the problem with lag was very random.. my one friend had endless problems as I did with 4mg line and another with the same line speed as me (384) and he had no problems after the patches.. yes the patches help me but not to the point where I could actually play the game. It was so frustrating to play and such a good round to get disconnected from the server 60sec from the end of the round and loss all ur xp! I got started my game around the same time as my friend.. He got to prestige lvl and I dont think I got past lvl 40...

Does anyone know anything about whether MW3 will be a subscription service or not? Heard rumours about this somewhere...

For now they are just as you say rumours, trust me, mygaming will be one of the first places to report it if it is in fact true.

When it comes to FPS I am a casual gamer. These terms or similar would put me off playing this title. And that would be a pity, as I have enjoyed MW in the past.
 
Since COD: BLAPS was the most profitable game ever and bugged to shit, this has set a new benchmark of stupidity and has enforced KoDICK's mentality that gamers are stupid and will buy any COD game no matter how full of bugs it is.

SO be prepared for buggy games from now until we die in the big gaming revolutionary war of 2037 where we finally revolt against DICKtator Bobby KoDICK for releasing shit games and having you pay to get updates and patches and being able to play online and guns and maps and for every minute you use their software.

The future is here and you'll have to pay for it.

I'm a little disappointed in this, I was hoping the rumours were true. Cant help but feel they need to introduce something new into the MP element of the game.
