The Red Alert, under development by the mod team of C&C Labs, undertakes one of the most ambitious tasks in C&C modding: to recreate and improve upon an original game. The Red Alert, a mod in development for Red Alert 3, is based off the original Red Alert's art and game play. Not aiming to model realism, it instead endeavors to bring the addictive heart-pounding game play of the classic to a world-class 3D engine, to bring back all of the classic units, including those from Aftermath, and to recreate the very "feel" of its art style. With The Red Alert, epic tank battles, MiG attack runs, and Cruiser strikes will be more than just fond memories — they will all be weapons in your arsenal once again!

What is the HL: PARANOIA?

Paranoia - it is a our single-player modification for Half-life. You will play the role of a russian officer of the secret service. Your first impressions are that this mission will be just like any other, but you really have no idea what nightmares future events have in store for you...

I found a mod for Two Worlds 2 that allows you to play as a female character in Single Player.

I also stumbled across a Two Worlds 2 Server Emulator. Unsure if this works as I will be testing it tonight to see. I will be using a WDUnpacker to extract the map files from the .WD files of Two Worlds 2. Hopefully this works and I can host a lan...

If anyone else tests this or has tested it please let us know if it works or not.

@Alan, that looks really gorgeous my only gripe is that the trees look a bit weird lol, but otherwise wow, everything from cars to buildings looks perfect.......

A word of caution with that GTA mod

I’m gonna put this here so people are more likely to see it and I know some people wont read the read me!

“This version uses the 0.082 DLL as a base
Which means :

Overheating of videocards NVidia GF8800, high end from GF2xx series and most from GF4xx, GF5xx”

I dunno how bad it is but you might want to monitor your temp the first time you play it if you got one of those cards.
 
I bought GTA IV in the steam sale just because of that iCenhancer vid.
Version 1.25 has been released (and apparently works with version 1.0.7), will let you know how it goes for me - hopefully I'll have some jaw-dropping screens to post.
And fortunately I've got an HD5870 :)
 
Hi guys, I`m a developer on the Lost Alpha mod for stalker shadow of chernobyl.

Its still a WIP but I`d thought i`d just note here to "watch this space"

It is truly one of the most ambitious mods ever. Ok I`m obviously a bit biased there :) but if you are a fan of stalker, then you will love it.

Beta v1.6 was released this weekend and I checked it out. It is a bit late to start playing it with Red Orchestra 2 coming out at the end of the month. But at least everyone can play it for free with Source being free. A local server is needed of course.
 
I'm doing my own mini-mod for another mod. I'm taking the Oblivion Lost mod and Daniel's Mod addon for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and taking what Daniel did a little further.

I'm working restoring many more of the vanilla features, namely:
-World, character and weapon skins.
-The original Hud (Yay! Sprint meter and PDA counter!)
-Restoring the zoom when aiming unscoped weapons (though with a few adjustments compared to the vanilla game)
-Removing the periodic 'blowout' and the randomised anomolies that come with it. (mainly because it causes more problems due to the fact there aren't nearly enough hiding spots and the anomolies can sometimes appear in story critical positions.)
-Removing vehicles.
-Original gun sounds
-Old main menu and music
-'upgraded' weapons can be sold at Sidorovitch again.

-I'm not only taking away, I'm also adding and modifying:New artefacts.
-New model for the 'cigarettes' from Daniel's Mod.
-Altered all the weapon stats to reflect to their real-life counterparts in terms of range, accuracy, killing power and armour penetration. (In general, much more damage for most weapons, but much less armour penetration at long ranges unless using AP ammo.)
-Toz 34 becomes an early 'sniper weapon', x4 zoom, super accurate with Slug and Dart rounds, and much more damage, a REAL hunting rifle.
-Bruers don't completely suck balls to fight anymore.
-Silencers actually work if you get a 1-shot kill.
-Some more in-game music to spice things up, ported from Clear Sky. (no guarentees I can get this working though)
-The guy blocking the door in the 100 rads bar at the Duty base will be moved so you can get past him without hasssle.
-Adding a red-dot sight for weapons. (hopefully)
-The PSO scopes will have a crosshair instead of that sucky-ass chevron.
-Artefacts that cause 'bleeding' (now defunct in Daniels Mod 'cuz he removed bleeding) will now make you drunk. (hopefully)

Done with the weapons stat changes for now, I can releace them as a weapons mod for OL and Daniels Mod and theres a second version for the plain, unmodded game. I'm tackling the skins and hud as we speak, but running into a few bugs.
