The most pirated PC games of the now (May 2014)

I can't even remember the last time I torrented a game. I feel bad when I just think of it.

Some software on the other hand, I have no shame. Over $3000 for one application? Yeah I don't think so.

honestly, with the super cheap prices and copious number of sales, there is no need to pirate PC games

The only time I would download a game is if I'm concerned it won't work on my PC, so I check it out before buying. Otherwise I prefer to support my hobby legally.

With pricey AAA games I almost always try before I buy. Can normally tell in the first 15 mins if I'll like a game - and if I like it I always buy. I don't see this as any different (ethically) than trying it out on a friends machine before you buy...

Likewise. Except the new Directory Opus. Whoever's working in their counter piracy department needs a raise. The program is so difficult and annoying to pirate you might as well just buy it :P

Why is PC always singled out when these pirating discussions come up? Pirating exists on consoles as well, and is just as common. Sure, it's slightly more difficult to do in the beginning, but once you get used to it, it's just as easy.

I feel it creates a negative atmosphere. [Insert the "all PC users are pirates bullshit"] Why aren't there any articles about the hundred of thousands of dollars raised for charities by sites like the Humble Bundle. What happened to the positive news? I don't know many people who pirate anymore, these type of articles seem irrelevant.

Sorry I just had to:

That was funny :D

It is? I knew that some people had flashed 360s a few years ago, but it messed the console up. I haven't seen a pirated console game since the PSOne was on the market.

Everyone pirates weather its games, music, movies, series. Pc gamers just get singled out all the time pffft.

Is it limited to Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS? I heard something along the lines of people being unable to crack the PS3 to play pirated games, because of the machine's processing architecture.

My PS3 was custom firmware'd to play pirated games, but the latest superslim PS3 is unable to get the custom firmware.

That's astounding! I did not know that people were still able to mod consoles (not aesthetically) and pirate games.

The 360 version of Watch_Dogs is already available on some local file-sharing sites, for example. Pirating exists on every platform, singling out one is stupid. What about everyone that downloads music that wasn't bought from ITunes, Amazon, or a similar service. They're 'pirates' too, but I don't see lists about the 'Top 10 Most Downloaded Songs'.

Sure. But my question was purely trying to find out if pirating is still a thing on consoles. Not implying that other platforms are better or worse than others.
