The Motivation Thread

If anyone would like to join me. Tomorrow I'm going to have a SUPER Work Saturday! I'm going to wake up early and work then I'll have a quick shower as a break and then I'll continue working until lunch. Focusing on speed. Trying to get things done quickly and efficiently.

Depending on how tired I am I may quit after lunch but maybe I'll continue. Will decide that at that point.

Who would like to join me for this SUPER Work Saturday!

I want to get things done.

I'm going to try to do the same, and get the wife in as well. It depends on how much energy she has, though, she worked through the night last night, and normally is still buggered two days after.

Awesome! We can maybe post here every now and then. Keep each other going.

Morning peoples. I will be starting at 7. Got quite a headache which is unfortunately not helping in the motivation department.

And time for a break. So far it's been a bit slow because I'm trying to do something that I haven't done before but it works! So now it's time for some breakfast and then I'll move to step 2 for the day.

Well I feel I've had a productive night. Started module 1 and its assignment. Made constructive remarks in the open group discussion and hoping things go forward with this inertia.

LLB!? Did you say you just started? Are you studying through Unisa? I'm finishing up the second year modules this year, then after that only 20 more to go (-_-).

Feel it, I am here! Today I'm going to try to get my C# app to complete its API calls, and maybe even complete the search call. It'll be slow going, as I'm a complete noob with C#. :D

Good luck! Let me know if you need any help. :)

I'm done for now. May continue later or tomorrow. Will post here if I do.

Hey dude/dudette, think you quoted the wrong person (although BeoTeK is certainly a more than worthy replacement). I'm finishing my final (4th year) of my LLB at Wits while working at MyGaming part-time. It leads to glorious weekends like this where I get to go down to Cape Town to cover awesome events and come back up to graft hard for exams. It's busy but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Having threads like this and getting an idea of what everyone else is up to also helps a lot (not just schmoozing, you guys are great ;P).

I feel for you and all the other full-time Law students. I don't have to do as many modules per semester (Unisa student). Goodluck with the exams. :)

And Good luck to you too! I've had a chance to go through some of the UNISA materials and they seem pretty on point and awesome. Shout if you need any help!

Glad to see all the productivity from this thread. It makes me feel genuinely better about all the work I've had to do.

So, one of my classes in my studies have been Project Management. I've luckily already gotten a certification in Project Management, so I've been doing it in my work on a daily basis. That meant that when the assignment was handed out, I was able to just copy and paste all my work done for a project at work into the assignment. So I was able to finish up one of 5 assignments. Feeling awesome.

I must also say, last week was an incredible drain on me mentally and physically. I think I slept 12 hours straight on Friday night just to get back to normal. I also didn't do too much work over the weekend, apart from finishing up the Project Management assignment. But now the break is over and it's time to refocus and get back into things.

And, because no motivational thread would be complete without any quotes:

He also said "Who the hell cares what anybody thinks? Just look into your heart and do whatever the hell makes you happy." which is a lot more motivational when written down tham it was when he said it! :D

I'm feeling quite productive, already have a highly productive meeting behind me, where I spec'd and found about R10k's sensors for a biiiiiiig client. The clincher? I was first asked to look at the project at about 07:45 this morning! :D

My next project will be building a dog kennel:D anyone else doing/needing diy motivation? Im currently busy on a painting

Ooooh, I've wanted to do the kennel thing once too, long ago. My wife decided that my plans were too ugly for her pups to live in, though, so she got them an igloo and let them stay indoors. On my side of the bed. :(
