The New New New SPAM Thread

Happened to me with a dial up modem once. Was a bright white flash in the room. Plugged the phone line into the next port and it still worked.

When my pc was stuck by lighting in 2008 my onboard sound was stuffed. Also had to press the restart button 3 tiimes to boot up my pc :p
 
Hmm had the same expierienced blew my LAN port and my CPU they were a week old :(. Still struggling to get it fixed...
 
It happens, and the fact that everyone always says lightning doesn't strike the same place twice, try telling that to my Netgear router that has 2 Blown ports from two successive lightning strikes

One guy I work with had all his electronics blown 3 months ago, middle of month he replaces them and end of the month half were blown again.

He also replaced 4 routers in one month.

my friends pc has been hit by lighting about 5 times this year.
 
I always recommend that you do not wire up your WiFi Antenna to the Flagpole outside your house specifically to avoid instances like in that first video
 
well the uploader of the video went to go see what the strike did

he nows owns a rare piece of glass, only ever created by lightnig

I have been very close to a strike before, here in the Cape we dont get it alot but the one time it hit outside my house, i thought the window must have brokem, all the lights went of inlcuding car alarms

my friends house is constantly getting hit. I mean each time it rains. lol.
 
I used to live in a Townhouse that was at the very top of a hill and had the only phone line connection on the block (New Road + New Cluster Development)
Everytime it LOOKED like rain it would get hit

so whats everyones opinions on BF3?

Xero its just a rumour but prob true, MW3 will most likley be P2P for PC again

that is such a fail but just another reason to get BF3
 
I told everyone when MW2 was released that Infinity Net was the future of CoD
I think we can safely assume that the rumors are true regarding it being P2P based.

BF3, looks great, now to get some Beta Action in :)
 
open beta is arround september

wonder when the "closed" beta will be, ie those who brought MOH limited edition
