The Official 2015 Steam Summer Sale thread

I just realised: Far Cry 4 and Bioshock Infinite are the only games I will get, if the price doesn't scare me off or seem worth it (for someone who's saving).

Edit: Forgot about Dying Light. With all that I've said, Arkham Knight is still due for release as well.

The only games I'll pick up if they get some deep price cuts are Stranded Deep, Subnautica, Audiosurf 2, Don't Starve and Project AURA.

Yar Don't starve you need to get :p

But yea unless something in my wishlist will go on sale I wont bother.

Bought the XCOM: Complete Package last night for $12.49.

Now I wonder whether I should have waited for the sale - didn't realise it was this close.

I don't know, if I look at the videos, the textures aren't that great- AC2 quality and the map is much smaller. This is a Vita port.

I'm wondering the same thing, although Ubisoft isn't known for their generosity, so who knows.

Damn I've been feeling the same thing- One of the reasons I'm waiting till Thursday to buy AC 3

I would love an AC bundle.
They have just been rolling new AC games out to quickly after AC3.

I'm looking at picking up Styx: Master of Shadows this time around since I missed the half price discount the last sale.

I'm all for it though. I just don't like that they're releasing them in beta state. But if you had to give me the choice between Black flag, Unity, Rogue, and syndicate (lets just throw this one in) in their current state, or just Black flag and one of the others with a further year of development behind them, I would have to choose to keep all four in their current state. I just wouldn't be able to give up any of those. Yes Unity was a complete disaster on release, but they've sorted out the problems and being the cheapskate that I am, I will get a pretty polished game when I eventually decide to get it.

As for a bundle, I would imagine they would throw in the older games. I doubt you would see a bundle with anything newer than Black flag, and even Black flag would be pushing it.

I would rather wait a year or 2 and get a great game without bugs than to pay full price to be a beta tested.
A bundle with all the older games would be nice but i cannot see UBI doing that anytime soon. hopefully i'm wrong.

It's the poor early adopters that take the brunt of it, but like I said, by the time I get around to buying it they've bundles all the DLC together and are flogging it off for next to nothing and have also worked out all the bugs. I guess I would also feel like you do if I got it right away. Right now however I'm getting a great game every year that works perfectly, so I'm happy.

I'm no early adopter either :) I'm still looking on a good deal for black flag.

You know the more I think about the sale, there larger my wish list is growing. It started out with just two assassins creed games, but I've just remembered the tom clancy titles, far cry 3... Daaaamn, this isn't good.

proverbial fly in the ointment here is the fact that the rand is being bent over and sodomised, without any lube :(

I've got about $15 in my steam wallet from selling cards and whatnot... I am gonna have to budget hard. I don't even have anything I'm hoping for at the moment.

damnit man! You made me realize I dont have FarCry 4 yet, happy now? :D

Don't forget about gog.com - they too started their summer sale with some meaty morsels if you haven't picked them up before:
> FTL - $2.49 (Steam is currently $9.99)
> The Vanishing of Ethan Carter - $7.99 (Steam is currently $19.99)
> Plus loads more.

"Summer Sale", in the middle of South African winter...
Need to refill my wallet, but bandwidth always a issue. Still have games in my Library I can't play :(
