Well at those prices its cheaper for me to ask family in the UK to grab a copy from one of their retailers.
 
As it stands now, BF1 Ultimate edition is now R400 more expensive than the cod ultimate edition (Which has a ton more content).

There would be a huge uproar if there was a similar increase in the US. It's total BS!

Plants vs Zombies 2 is R599, or $60 on the US Origin Store. So why is Battlefield 1 way more expensive now?

I'm definitely gonna contact Origin support.

Definitely agree South Africans won't make noise so the prices will remain as it is.
It sucks but I have enough games to keep me busy I refuse to support a company that operates this way.

That on top of the fact that there is yet to be any clarification if there will be any South African severs.
Game is good though but not that good to justify that price

Suddenly makes makes the price for my Dishonored 2 Collecters Edition (R1199) look pretty good...


This price though, this will obviously effect player count in SA.... on the other hand, open beta showed us that its not too bad to play intl servers. Same with the Battlefront game.

I donnu, very undecided on this, and I love my BF games. I'll order Mafia 3 rather than this...
 
R1,000 for the standard edition? That's crazy. I enjoyed my time with Battlefront, but I still feel a bit burnt by the whole experience. Sure the European servers were playable, but it was noticeable. I know this will most likely come out with some SA servers, but the lack of that in Battlefront has put me off quite a bit. Now the price has dropped down to R300 when not on special.

In my mind there is just too much of a risk of this being another shell of a game to justify paying R1,000 as a pre-order for the game. I will take another look at it a couple of weeks after it has released and some opinions are actually out on it. But I don't think I will be purchasing this one.

Ya this is a huge barrier to entry. And right when there are a whole pool of candidates to drop my money on.
BFH is just a White Elephant on my PC EA better not screw up BF1 now.

Oh what connection does everyone playing on overseas servers get? I get +200 ping on a Telkom 4mbps and I find that just a little too much to play smoothly
 
Man this day took a real dive. I played bf1 beta last night and was psyched now this price hike just killed my mood.
