Started watching Bakemonogatari, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Black Lagoon, thanks to a friend trying to educate me about the anime universe outside of Naruto, Bleach, and Fairy Tail... Pleasantly overwhelmed
There is lots more out there then the usual shounen animes with 100+ep's.
If you are watching the monogatari's then make sure to watch them in the order they came out 1. Bakemonogatari 2. Nisemonogatari 3. Kizumonogatari,i made the mistake of watching them in the wrong order after fining Nisemonogatari and later finding out there were 2 more.
Also check out blood trails OVA of black lagoon when you are done if you liked the anime.

But hold on a sec. Kizumonogatari isn't out yet - the movie was supposed to be released in 2012, but they've been postponing it the whole time.
With regards to releases - Bakemonogatari came first, followed by Nisemonogatari; those two together represent the first season of the animated Monogatari series. Nekomonogatari (Black) was released on the 29th of December last year.
In terms of the timeline, Kizumonogatari comes first, and this is followed by Nekomonogatari (Black). Then timeline-wise, comes Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari.
The second season of the Monogatari series will start airing in July, and this is essentially the second Monogatari saga, which will apparently follow Koyomi's deepening relationship with each of the heroines - Hanekawa, Nadeko, Mayoi, Nadeko, Suruga, Shinobu and Hitagi.
They will contain the following volumes (with their central heroine):
Nekomonogatari (Shiro) - Hanekawa
Kabukimonogatari - Mayoi
Hanamonogatari - Suruga
Otorimonogatari - Nadeko
Onimonogatari - Shinobu
Koimonogatari - Hitagi
26 Episodes in all, and as you can probably guess, I'm drooling about it already. Still no idea when Kizumonogatari (which is where the entire saga starts) is being released though.
Also, Saint_Dee - hang on to that friend ... he's solid gold. I'm still trying (unsuccessfully, I might add) to wean my one mate off Naruto :/
Anyways - I just straight marathoned 4 seasons of Maria-sama ga Miteru (it's josei, so I wouldn't really recommend it for you guys

Yea people think anime is all or mostly shonen, sure it's sometimes mildly fun and entertaining but there is a lot of better stuff out there.
Hellsing Ultimate 10 was released on the 26 of December, fan-sub was just released, got to wait till I get home to watch it been waiting 6 years for the conclusion.

Those were damn good, but still very pissed about them not continuing the series instead. Only bad thing about the series is the exclusion of Skull Knight.

YES! I recommend it, since it's a re-telling of the manga from the start, so there is no need to know anything about berserk at all. It has so much depth and character development, I cant wait for film 3.

Finally finished the Hellsing OVA series (episode 10 was the final episode) been a long 6 years of watching and waiting but I am finally glad it's all concluded.

Try nyaa, there are two releases [P3] and [closeenuf], P3 seems to be the better choice, but it's 3Gb's in size, although it did have some spelling and grammatical errors (one or two sentences just did not make sense). Closeenuf is a re-encode of P3 so the size is smaller but the quality is not so amazing.

Watching the first movie. Wow animation is amazing really enjoying it. Have seen the series. Awesome to see it looking new and shiny
I was surprised when I saw they where using hybrid "cell" shaded CGI and a hand drawn animation mixture, in the films. It makes is so much more awesome!

The RAW files for Berserk parts 1 and 2 are available on nyaa.eu as 1 torrent, so I would expect the second movie to be subbed in the near future.
I have yet to see it myself. Been waiting half a year for it now.
If anyone finds it anywhere else, let me know, else I will wait for it to come out on nyaa.
As for the release date for movie 3, according to Wikipedia, it should be coming out on 1 February 2013. If my assumption is correct that it will be released in theaters first, then it will only be translated and made available once the Blu-Ray comes out. Let's hope that will be sooner than later.
Another movie which I really want to see which I have been waiting eagerly for is ÅŒkami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki (also known as The Wolf Children Ame and Yuki)
It looks to be a very interesting story to say the least.

Yep, its in the 3rd movie. The anime ended there, but I hope the movie goes further, maybe start with the 3rd Arc.
