Nothing in particular. I try and watch a lot of comedy and slice of life romance animes which I quite enjoy with the SO.

Most noobs :p enjoy the likes of Full metal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Death Note. Also if you like the more "visual" animes then Elfen Lied and Ergo Proxy are also pretty solid in my book.:D

Watched about 4 or 5 episodes death note is one I want to try but purely because one halloween party my mates sister went as a character from death note :p
 
Anime is good but the list of watch to watch is Big. So hard to pick what to watch. But like they said before it all comes down to what you like. I find some anime i cant watch in Dubed but some i can.

for the start watch a few anime in Dubed maybe the bug will bite and maybe its easier to watch.

Death Note is amazing.

After that watch Elfen Lied :)
 
I loved Elfen Lied. Felt a bit short, but then i found the manga and was like "Anime, why you no have more episodes?!". One of my favorite anime's would probably have to be Chrono Crusade. Felt like it had the right kind of ending.
 
I know I may be asking for trouble, but could someone indicate which chapter the One Piece anime is with, on on the manga? I want to continue, but reading the manga.

Resuming my reading of Shingeki no Kyojin manga.

Today's One Piece was great....just was a little bit disappointed with Caesar.

Dude, get on that Tengen toppa Gurren Lagann. (Massive scale and ridiculous action, impacting end as well.) Else Death Note (Mind F**k), Full Metal Alchemist : Brotherhood (awesome story and kickass animation), Samurai Champloo ( amazing soundtrack, kickass action), Black Lagoon (set IRL with amazing story, awesome action, just....boss).

Depends on the genre but stuff like Naruto and Bleach is Shounen stuff which generally has the same feel to it. If you don't like one, you probably won't enjoy any of the others. Most of the ones I listed now are pretty varying genres, but all of them are also really, really good.

It's as ZenbaaS said, it's all a matter of taste. I had to watch a few shows to find something that I liked. I still love my shonen stuff (For the younger generation) but not as much as I used to.

I can list a few recommendations for you.

Psychological/Drama: Monster, Shiki, Eden of the east, K, The tatami galaxy (thats more of a space opera), Macross, PSYCHO PASS, Steins;Gate.

Action/Adventure: Fullmetal Alchemist, Gundam, TTGL, One piece, Naruto, Bleach, Hunter X Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho, Magi, Katanagatari(More of a Drama/Action a lot of dialogue but an excellent show), Fate/Zero, Fate Stay/Night.

Sports: One Outs, Eyeshield 21, Haji no Ippo, Buzzer Beater, Air Gear.

I'm missing out on so much of this list >_< Summer Wars is beyond awesome, Akira is an amazing if somewhat depressing movie and I've heard lots of good things about Paprika but haven't seen it yet.
 
started watching Code Geass, One Piece and Kuroko no Basket

Very cool anime. One Piece gets a bit slow at times im on ep 37 now.

Code Geass, that is such a brilliant anime. I watch it yearly, the characters, art style, story and plot twists are just insane! The things Lelouche did to get what he wanted.

Ok so this might be a silly question but I loved playing final fantasy just for the story and loved advent children ... if that was categorised under anime which of those genres would it be

im only on a few episodes but its really cool. want to finish Kuroko no Basket really funny. was not sure i was going to like it as much.

AAAAAAAH! Just thinking about Code Geass, got R2's OP J-rock song stuck in my head.

WARNING SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT WATCHED!


Make sure you Watch Code Geass R2 as well.

You should also give Gundam 00 and Unicorn a try. I would advise watching unicorn first as it's set in the UC (Universal Century) and follows the story of the Original Gundam (although there is no need to watch it you'll get the gist of the story as you progress) While 00 was set in a somewhat futuristic world of ours.

Fantasy, Magic, Action, Adventure. It could fall under all of those genre's.
 
I have Gundam 00 its taking me awhile to download most of the mech anime. I did not know witch Gundam to get so went with 00 and AGE

But its on my watch list i have alot to watch ><
but i should catch up soon.

Might catch up a lot when going on holiday when on the long as flight.
