Right now I am in a similar boat Got about 400 gigs of anime to go through just started speed grapher.

I tend to have to get a new hard drive every 2 or 3 months. :D

Mind you - I have an additional collection (about 315 DVDs) that were previously on my drives - I finish watching something before I burn it. QA and all that.

And of course I have my purchased collection as well - which is still pretty tiny at the moment.
 
The newest addition to my anime collection is finally on the way - and something I've been trying to get hold of for a while now. Also happens to be my all-time favourite: Onegai Twins.

On a seperate point - having the originals gives me the opportunity to sample the dubbed versions as well. Some of the dubs are pretty ok (Evangelion), some are passable (Gunslinger Girl), and then the majority needs to be avoided like the plague (Full Metal Panic, Sister Princess).
 
Yep - Zenbaas got it right. I love FMP to bits - wouldn't buy the DVD's otherwise. But you'll spoil the experience if you try watching it in English.

Whoever the voice actor for Tessa was just didn't fit the image - and Sagara's voice actor made him sound like some sort of stand-up comedian. Fail!
 
Anime just aint Anime without the Japs screaming like little girls. I can't stand english anime makes me want to puke :missing sick smiley:
 
I just find that english voice actors in general aren't capable of injecting the amount of emotion into their work that the Japanese do. I think of it has to do with the fact that the seiyuu industry is tremendously competitive - and there is a lot of work involved before they even get their first shot at a part - which usually involves voice acting in some dating sim :p

So if they want to work, they have to be really, really good.

I've been hooked on the Sopranos for the last few days so I've been keeping anime by the wayside. But methinks it's time to get back to One Piece 412-423. :)
 
I finished all I had of FMA Brotherhood and all that wasn't filler of Bleach (why is Bleach more filler than actual canon anyway?). I'll probably watch Pumpkin Scissors next as per Gradius' recommendation. :)
